Now I know why Disney Dining asks for our phone # now!

Maybe this has already been discussed? Sorry if it is common knowledge but I just found out!

I called just to check on a later time for Fantasmic package August 23...hoped they finally released the later times...no luck.

I had only told him the date and that I was hoping for a later time. He told me sorry but to try back again in a week or so. He then said "I see you are going to Disney again in October?". I said yes!

I was amazed and then I realized it had to be my phone number that I plugged in before I ever even talked with him.

I thought it was neat! I'll bet that means he knew all my PSs and probably could easily check my party size or my CC on file for PSB and Fantasmic etc...quite easily.

Just thought I'd share.

Yep, they know all. I called CRO the other day and the CM told me everywhere I had stayed, that I was an annual passholder and she was able to do my PSs, so I am guessing they are recorded in there as well. Oh and she had to first two sets of numbers in my CC but I had to give her the rest. So there is some central database, and I hate to think what ALL is really in it. LOL

I told my DH about this and said to him...good thing I didn't lie about anything cause the CM probably would have known!!

I did know that once you talk with a CM and give your phone number, they can bring up all kinds of info...a couple of months ago when I was making all my PS, the CM told me all the times I've been to WDW! But today is when it dawned on me the reason they have us plug the number in even before they talk with us. It saves them a big step. Now they know who they are talking to from the moment you say "Hello"!

I just think it's so neat!

They split up calls based on your WDW travel experience... like, some CMs handle those that are repeats, some handle newcomers, etc. This way, the CM can offer you new information that you may not be aware of because it's been XX years since you visited last. While newcomers get more basic information and assistance.

They know all... see all... =) It's a great marketing tool =)

I wish the system would work when I call. I enter my phone and still have to give the CM all of my information later.

Maybe the next time I have to call it'll work the proper way.

Same here for me disneyjunkie !
I made my PS's individually day by day as my 90 day mark rolled around for each one.Everytime, I entered my phone# into the automated system, and then was asked again for my number and checkin date/resort by the CM.

So, my info didn't follow me..........

The CM will ask you to verify some information, I am guessing for security reasons.

I just called this morning and got 6p.m. for August 20 so August 23 should be opening up in a day or two I would think.

I am so happy; originally I had 4:30 and two tables of 4. Now, I have a table of 8 at 6p.m. I would have never known about calling for the later times if it wasn't for this board!!! THANKS!!!!

looks like I need to call back sooner than a week from yesterday. Any day now!! Thanks!
