Now I have a question about the rent/transfer board.

Specifically about this

You must purchase a Rental Plan to offer your points for rent or transfer on the DVC Rent/Transfer Board UNLESS you meet the following requirements:

  • You have had your DIS user-name for at least 6 months, and
  • You have made at least 8 posts in at least 4 of the past 6 months (months are counted on a daily basis the same as DVC computes 11 month/7 month priorities), and
  • You have made at least 50 non-Rent/Transfer Board posts in the last 6 months as verified by the DIS 'Search' engine. Posts made on the DVC Rent/Trade Board will not count towards this requirement.
  • Posts counted towards this requirement will be based on the timestamp for the Eastern time zone.
  • Those meeting these requirements will provide users the same permissions allowed in the Silver Rental Plan - a maximum of three rental threads including one existing reservation offered within 30 days of the reservation arrival date.
I have successfully rented a reservation Today! Do I have the ability to post another thread on the rental board, tomorrow?

Thank you.

Yes - if the thread is a 'Points For Rent' , a Points for Transfer' or a 'Points for Rent or Transfer'.

.Since you met the posting requirements, you have a "fee-waived" Silver Plan. That means you may submit a a maximum of THREE (3) rental threads, which may include a maximum of ONE existing reservation thread. (You used your one thread for an existing reservation), No Reservation may be offered more than 30 days from the arrival date with the SILVER rental plan. The plan is valid for one year from the date of registering for the plan. So your "Plan" runs until 12/17/2024, and you have two threads left.

P.S. You don't have to wait until tomorrow to post the thread(s).

Are there any concerns with the qualifications falling off while you are trying to rent points? We aren't currently planning on renting ours out at this time, but we may when we purchase additional points in the future.

Each time a rental thread is submitted, it is checked. If you have a rental plan icon under your screen name, we check to make sure you have entitlements remaining and that the thread submitted is appropriate for that plan level. Plans are good for 1 year.

If you do not have a plan icon, we check to see if you meet the requirements to have the fee waived. To qualify for that, you must have at least 50 posts made during the previous 6 months and they must be distributed evenly over those months. To qualify as evenly distributed, you need at least 8 posts in at least 4 of the previous 6 months (and the total must be at least 50). If you meet those requirements, you do not get an icon, but you are given the same entitlements as a SILVER rental plan. It is good for one year. Although we encourage you to keep up your posting (it gives potential renters information about your knowledge and "trustworthiness"), we do not continue to check your posting numbers during the the 1 year period.

Hope that helps - potential users of our Rent/Transfer Board are strongly encouraged to read the pinned thread at the top of that forum before posting:

Chuck & I decline far more posts than we approve because so many do NOT read this thread. All of the above information is contained in that thread. It has helpful information to those who want to offer their points for a rental an also to those seeking a reservation.

I could see that… I quickly read the rules, but failed to see that the terms must be included in the title…so, I’ve a 50% approval rating!

So, anyway doubly happy for the board. Tom is doing very well. His LifeVest has not had to perform any maneuvers on him.
