Now I feel old

I have to wear reading glasses.
Turning 30 & 40 didn't bother me.
But having to wear reading glasses makes feel older.

OMG, I turn 40 in June. I just went for my eye exam 3 weeks ago and the doctor recommended bifocals. I thought I'd cry. Between that and noticing some gray hairs where it never occured to me you'd get gray hair has about pushed me over the edge.

Yep, it was almost THE very day I turned 40 that my eyes took a dive I only need them to read for now but I know it's getting worse

My eyesight was soooo good when I was younger that my friends & family used to say that I was able to see things that were around the corner. After the big 40 passed, it was all downhill. First I couldn't see the crossword puzzle in the TV Guide, then it was hard to see anything close up. NOW, I can't see anything. Forget about wearing a watch, seeing who's on the caller I.D., or reading a menu. I started to buy those reader glasses in the stores til I went to the eye doctor last year. Now, I'm wearing prescription reading glasses and can't go without them.

they'll grow on you ; wait until they tell you need intermediate lenses too (as in bi-focal readers )

i still don't need my distance vision corrected lol.

I use reading glasses too - don't feel bad - you've EARNED those bad eyes!
