now that we have chosen all stars vs POP...which all stars do we choose?movies,music,sports/if there are any differnces at all that makes u like one more or less that the other,,PLEASE PLEASE say so.NO matter how small it may seem..it may be important to someone else......thanks!!I know they are themed diierently,,,but unsure if they would impact anything........better parking, better food court, better gift shop,,,bus comes to on earlier than the other,,,,,ANYTHING,,thanks!!!!

If the three are sharing a bus, it picks up at Sports first, then Music, then Movies. When we stayed at Movies last fall, getting on the bus to the park we only had a problem one day with it being fairly full when we got on it, and that was when we arrived at the park right around opening time. I think the food courts are pretty much all the same, and we flew, so I have no idea about parking.

My husband and I preferred the theming at All Star Movies. Made you feel like the "magic" followed you all the way back to your hotel... Like you were sleeping in the magic kingdom every night!

Of the three All-Star Movies would be my pick, but I prefer POP when staying at a Value.

stay at pop 25 inch tv instead of a 19 inch no soap dispensers 3 pools instead of 2 everything is clean and new great clean foodcourt we have stayed at the music and dont get me wrong we loved but loved pop a lot better. :flower:

Over the All Stars we have stayed at Sports x 2. I have boys and the loved all the giant sports icons. Also the buses stop there first so ideally you have a better shot at a seator atleast getting off a crowded bus first.
Though like the other poster I would stay at Pop. Larger TV's and they have their own buses so no having to share witht the other resorts.

I've stayed at Sports twice and Music 4 or 5 times. I prefer Music because it's less crowded and quieter, especially if your room is in the Broadway, Rock Inn, or Country Fair sections, which are farthest from Melody Hall. My favorite is Braodway, since it is close to the parking lot, but Rock Inn is also close to the parking lot on the other side of the resort.

ASMU is laid out in a long straight line from Melody Hall to the piano pool. It can be a long walk if you are in one of those thre sections I mentioned on the end of the resort, but if you have a car and don't need the busses then the walk is not a big deal.

I stayed at Pop in December and did not prefer it to Music. For that matter, I didn't prefer it to Sports, either. Pop's busses may not be shared with other resorts, but every one I got on was packed, packed, packed! A couple of times I actually stayed behind and waited for the next one because the bus was so packed I felt it was dangerous to get on.

Pop's beds are also like bricks, and i found that even though the menu at Pop's food court is very similar to those at the All-Stars, the quality of the food and the service were not as good at Pop as they have always been at the All-Stars. Likewise, I found that when I had packages delivered to Pop, the wait time when I picked them up was far longer that it was at the All-Stars, because Pop has a storage room for packages that is much farther from the counter than those at the All-Stars.

I did have excellent check-in and check-out serice at Pop and was happy with the housekeeping.

But when I go in May, I'll be staying at ASMU.

I've stayed at Pop, as well as the Movies & Music, and the best in my opinion is Movies. We were in the Toy Story section and found it a quick walk to the main pool, foodcourt, lobby & bus stop.

I have stayed at Sports and Music. I much prefer Sports. I like the Sports icons better and I find that Music is too spread out. Also, someone mentioned the bus transportation. I like Sports because you are picked up first and almost always have a seat on the way to the parks. Many times Disney will send a bus per resort out to the parks in the morning, so you get on and just go. In the afternoon and evenings you may have to stop at Music and Movies. The good news is you are dropped off first on the way home, so you're in the food court grabbing a refill by the time the Movies people get off the bus.

We have stayed at Music and Sports, and will be staying at POP in December. We liked Music much better, liked the theming much better and seemed quieter. Our first choice was always Movies, but we could never get in!

The biggest difference I found between POP and Music is the walking distances. Seemed like everything was a little closer at POP.

AS Sports due to the first on and first off for the buses. Other then that they are pretty much identical.

Call me a snob (I probably am!), but I was dreading our stay at the ASMU with our son's band last summer. We have always split our stays between PORiverside and deluxe resorts. We like the food court and quiet pools at Riverside, and the boats and other extras at the deluxe resorts.

Much to my surprise, I really liked the ASMU. We were in the back (Broadway) and it was very quiet. The pool near us was never crowded. The rooms were spotless. Best of all was the food court-excellent, and pretty good prices.

We had stayed at the ASSports before and vowed never to go back. It was loud and very crowded (at a less busy time of year).

My one complaint was the bus service. It would have been faster to walk to the parks. We usually have a car though, so I don't know if the other resorts have any better service. We waited at the AK one afternoon for over 45 minutes for a bus to come.

My one piece of advice, request a room on the top floor. I do this at POR too, it can be very loud if you have people in the room over you.

My first choice would be ASMo. It is the newest of the three and the food court is a little better then the other two. We never had a problem with the buses, and the theming is so Disney. My second choice would be ASMu. We really liked the Calypso section. It was never too loud, but was close to the buses and food court. My last choice would be Sports. Too crowded and noisy - although being the first bus stop is nice. Just my 2 cents...

I've stayed at all three (Movies twice, Music twice; Sports once).

I prefer the theming for the Movies-- seems very "Disney" to me. However, I really like the "quiet" aspect to the Music. All the buildings except the Calypso building near the pool seem very quiet.

The problem that you run into with All Star Sports sometimes is that it seems to be the prefered location for the many high school groups/sports teams that Disney brings in for various things. This can make for a very rough/noisy stay indeed.

We'll be staying at All Star Music next week for the first time. We've stayed at Sports, Movies & Pop and Sports has always been our favorite. The bus transportation is better than the other two & the layout of the resort makes it easy to get around. We're hoping to enjoy Music as well as Sports. I've heard it's quiet there & not as many groups. We'll be staying in Calypso be cause we have a handicapped friend & he needs an accessible room & that section will be close to everything for him. The All Star beds are definitely more comfortable than Pop..those beds are like bricks like somebody said!... but the Pop Resort is nice. Enjoy your trip wherever you decide to stay! Of the A/S, Movies is my first choice. I think they have the best food court. I think their food court is even better than Pop.

However, Pop does have alot of advantages over the A/S. Yes, the bigger TV and bigger safe. An inside lounge and nice outside pool lounge. No blowdryers installed (but can request). Pop's parking can be a challenge at times, but Pop has the lovey hourglass lake which is a nice relaxing stroll. I liked having the 3 pools to choose from and the kids get more options with not only the kiddie pool, but the kiddie water play area (where the water shoots out from the ground). If Pop isn't available, I would choose the Movies. Buses are not important to me since we don't use them. BTW, Pop does not share buses with other resorts.

I think the theme at Movies is the most appealing BUT they are the last on the busses and the last off the busses. We stayed at Music. We all liked the theming and it didn't seem over run with people.

we have stayed at the all stars like 7 - 9 times. only movies 1 - 2 times. now last summer we were there around the 3rd week at the music. I found that a few of the food courts were opened at weird times. I know that they said due to crowds, but what made ALOT of PEOPLE mad was the fact that the food station that had the steak, fish, etc, for supper was NEVER open. so finally one day i asked up front. They said they closed this one BUT the ONE at the MOVIES was open every afternoon/night. We were pretty upset, and also alot of the people that also asked were pretty mad. One guy actually was so upset, they sent the Mgr, the Chef, out to talk with this guy and his family (they went over to the side of the seats ). other than that we like them both,. But had i known about the Food Station we would of stayed at the MOVIES.We ended up walking over to eat at the Movies alot at night (if we were back for supper) which was no big deal but it seemed strange.im sure you will like either place.
