i just called triple A, here's what i got:
Triple A (all star movies) 3245.00
Disney (all star movies) 3458.00

Triple A (Poly) 4300.00
Disney(Poly) 4600.00

STILL A DIFFERENCE OF 1000.00 if i stay at the Poly but now do i book through AAA or TMFL???

I can't believe how stressful this has become!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
has anyone booked through AAA before??
i heard you get preferred parking??

we booked with a AAA code, but with Disney. We got the code off AAA's website and called Disney to apply it. That way you are paying Disney directly should you need to make changes to the ressie.
The preferred parking is just for people who book an entire package through AAA, they won't give it to you for just booking a room through them.

how often do they give out those codes?
and when i called Triple A i was getting quotes for packages, so i would get the preferred parking right??

yes, you would get the preferred parking with a package.
The codes are aways available on their website. Not every resort is available but quite a few are. The discounts are based on which season it is, and holidays.

I've booked thru AAA before. I've been booking thru Disney directly because I've honestly gotten better deals with Disney (between free dining and 40% off codes). However, what I do miss about AAA was the special AAA storytime at the MK. It was really cute and DD loved it.

I'm going to throw another suggestion at you for future reference...book your room through a DVC member! I know there are lots of people (my sister included) who rent out there timeshare. If you aren't familiar with DVC (Disney Vaction Club), these members have priority booking at all of the resorts during any time of the year. The only thing you'd have to do is purchase air tickets and park passes - which can easily be done online.

Honestly, I don't get where your stress and confusion is coming from. You are going to buy a single product, and have a choice between a less-expensive price and a more-expensive price.

Why is this even a problem???

I originally booked with the AAA discount.

When I was lucky enough to receive a 40% PIN code, I simply gave it to my AAA agent. He took care of changing the package to reflect the better discount.

Don't stress needlessly. If you want a package (room, tickets, possibly dining) book it through AAA. Then if you get a better deal, they can take care of it.

There is a board on the DIS specifically for this....go look under DVC section. However, DVC members do not necessarily have priority booking! The point rental process can be painless if you do a bit of research. Going rate per point is anywhere between $9-12, and you might need 100 or so for a studio room (sleeps 4) at a DVC resort. My cousin is renting some points from us and is saving hundreds by staying at a DVC resort over booking with Disney and staying at a moderate. You do have to pay for dining and passes separately. And you do have to put trust in a stranger.

That being said, OP, go with the least expensive. I was reading on the Budget Board the other day, and many posters there did not think the AAA parking pass was all that great. Many times hopping the tram in the lot was faster than parking there. Plus, you'll be on property! Use the busses or monorail (for poly)!

I use AAA for all my trips--have for 20 years. My family has used it for who knows how long. Its always been great and over the years we have saved a lot of money.
