Now Bring Me That Horizon ~ It Begins P115

I too will be sticking around!! I'm so excited about the idea of attending my first MNSSHP...I'm also thinking of dressing up...now to convince the others I'm going with LOL!!!!

Anyways sounds like a great day, I Loved Chef Mickeys and yes you must have some traditions!

Of course I'll keep reading... no matter how many changes happen. Changes are part of the fun!! ::yes:: Canceling not so much fun. But sometimes responsible. I will hope that it won't come to that.

You know, I'm just not sure what the year will bring, but I'm going to keep writing this like we're going. :goodvibes

Love your MNSSHP plans. That sounds delightful. Are you already thinking about costumes?

Oh, we've dressed as pirates for the past two years. DH is Jack Sparrow, and I'm Elizabeth; DS is our cute little pirate nugget. Easy costume for him, for us, not so much. DH's costume is fairly authentic and it takes him about an hour to get ready. It takes me less time, but my dress (gold type styled after the first film) offers me limited mobility, so although I LOVE wearing it and the reactions we get, and the pictures we took last year, it's also a bit constricting and warm to wear around the Magic Kingdom. Which I did with heels. I don't know if you knew this already, if so, forgive me. :lmao:

You should totally dress up. You know, Mom and Nana are the same thing every year, and they're adorable. They wear those orange jack o lantern tee shirts, and look fantastic. We've got a few extra, so we usually lend one to my FIL.

I guess the only consideration is if we have the whole clan for MNSSHP, we may want to do a theme. And that's all I'm saying about that for now. That's a whole other post. ;)

Traditions are good to have, that's for sure.

And Disney traditions are certainly some of my favorites.

Starting school really throws a kink into Disney travel plans, doesn't it? ;)

You know me -- I am all about MNSSHP! Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast sounds good, too!

Ooohh... you ARE already thinking about costumes! popcorn::

Oh, there have been some discussions. Since not all the men are as pirate inclined as my husband, although they are all good sports. :goodvibes

Yes. I'm going to be one of those parents. One of the ones who will not take their child out of school to go to Disney. At least until he's a lot older, you know? I just would hate to give his teacher / the school district a first impression of us that I yanked him out of kindergarten to go on vacation for a week.

So pretty soon my trip reports and pre trip reports will start to be about how to survive during peak times. :lmao:

Perhaps I should take some pointers from you. :goodvibes I know you always have a great time when you go in the summer. :thumbsup2

Oh, I love me a good MNSSHP. Nothing finer.

I have always wondered what it must be like to go during non-peak times -- although I wouldn't worry too much about taking your child out of school to go on vacation as long as he is doing well. I remember my parents used to take my brother and me out of school all the time -- in fact, my very first visit to Epcot was in February (four months after it opened).

I will gladly provide you with any pointers you might need. :goodvibes

Thanks, CP! I'm sure I'll be coming to you for pointers in the future. I have been during the summer, but that was for my honeymoon 6+ years ago! :goodvibes

I'm sure we might take him out at some point, but not during his first year of public school. Not unless I knew that I could swing a long weekend and have it not be to his detriment. Honestly, though, I doubt it. I'm sort of ready for a change in the way we vacation, if that makes sense.

I feel so much better thinking that I could start a pre-trippie of sorts without a full on commitment!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MNSSHP! I hope you do the pirate thing again!! :) Even if we don't get the full pictures! :) It just sounds like so much fun!!!!

I do it, you totally could! :thumbsup2

Hee hee. I just have to figure out what other characters everyone else would be.

Or if we'd be pirates...from a different movie.

AND THAT'S ALL I'M SAYING RIGHT NOW. ;)

Aw!! You sound like a pirate! pirate: :lmao:

The good captain would be so proud.

Come on...tell us! :lmao:

You can whisper :ssst: ...I won't tell ANYONE! :sad2:

No.

:rotfl2:

You have to wait.

:rotfl2:

Actually, in all honesty, although I came up with a smashing idea for a group theme, I don't know if I can convince my dear sweet husband to part with his Jack Sparrow-ness.

Apparently, he enjoys the costume as much as I do.

And that's all I have to say about that. :lmao:

There are movies with other pirates???? Really??????? :rotfl2:

Do you know I have spent the entire day trying to think of other movies with pirates and all I can come up with is The Pirates of Penzance, Peter Pan, and that Veggie Tales movie. Are all of you going as vegetables??? :lmao:

Me too CP...I came up with Peter Pan but I never thought about the Veggie Tales...now that would make me make sure I went to MNSSHP the same night as TK LOL!!!!

BTW I'm doing my research about this party...I'm so getting my picture with the Evil Queen and Malificient...they are my faves!!!

Yes.

You got it.

VEGETABLES!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Actually, you've forgotten some others. I mean, Spongebob has a movie with pirates in it. :lmao:

You know, somehow, I always seem to miss the villain meet and greet. Maybe this year. :thumbsup2

Okie dokie. Sadly, we've already reached the last full day of our trip. Now, if we've added the park hoppers (which I haven't done yet, but will most likely do), then we can just hop all over to whatever parks we haven't hit yet...savvy?

All I can tell you, dear friends, is that on this day, we have another non-negotiable, totally agreed upon by TK and Mom ADR.

And that would be dinner at Citrico's. Ever since I dined there with Tink and Missy in September, I have discovered my love of the Citrico's filet and sorbet. Hee hee. Rhymes.

Anyway :lmao: I really enjoy the menu. I really enjoy being at the Grand Floridian. If I can't afford to stay there, at least I can soak in the atmosphere. Remember fondly when DH and I got stuck in a HUGE rainstorm during our honeymoon, and were running from the grand lobby outside to our room, and it was like a river in the sidewalk. Ducks waddling around happy as can be, me ready to trip, and DH looks at me, and says, take your sandals off! :rotfl2: And we're laughing and smiling and young and in love and on our honeymoon. And we get to our building soaking wet, laughing some more.

Memories like those. :goodvibes

So hopefully, since this is the weekend, we'll have the entire clan for this dinner, which I'm really looking forward to. I'm inclined to make the earliest ressie possible (I think that's 530) because that really worked for us in December. More on that in my trip report.

Speaking of that trip report, I find that things I write there have a direct correlation to what I plan here. And vice versa. Sort of like writing those events is a cathartic experience, in which I learn something about myself.

And you know what I learned from my most recent chapter?

I think we're going to switch the Coral Reef ADR to lunch. I get tired, for the most part, waiting all day to go somewhere to eat. I like the idea of having the evening open. And the only reason it bothered me on the last trip was because we didn't hop, and therefore, we ate at Roaring Forks a lot.

But with hoppers, and Food and Wine Festival, that shouldn't be an issue.

So let's just do a little review for old time's sake?

The Veggie Tales movie with the pirates is "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything." That is one of dd's favorite movies right now. She says she likes it because, and I quote here, "Pirates are good and yummy, right mommy?":rotfl2: :rotfl2: She loves her veggies and that is what she was talking about but I had good laugh over it. She just told me that last night and I thought I am going have to tell TK about it. I think it is amazing that we have our own little world of friends here on the dis. And that we get each other. Nobody around here "gets" my love of Disney. So I am thankful to all of you who have befriended me here on line. Sorry to go all mushy on all of you, but thanks for listening.

The bittersweet last day! Sniff sniff! Citrico's does sound delicious!

Pooh's Mate: your daughter is so right -- pirates are good and yummy! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
