Hey! I just noticed on another PTR that you live in St. Charles. I live on the IL side of St. Louis!!! Just thought I would pop in and say hello! Now I am off to catch up on your plans!

Rebecca, it sounds like JenBear needs an intervention!!
Don't let him kill a love or passion of yours for anything! If you enjoy something now, it's not like it's just going to go away because you love him too. See what I mean?? You might avoid something for a while, but eventually you will want that thing again, and if he thinks you've given it up, it will cause problems in the end. I'm not talking about unhealthy things like smoking or overeating or drinking too much, but hobbies or stuff like that- don't give in!!

We were only off today, not yesterday, but I am very much enjoying it!! I had to go pick up my nephews and the roads are just fine. There is supposed to be more tonight though!
I just got all caught up and was very glad to read how much you loved POR! That is where we are staying. We have 5 adults and 3 kids and wanted the extra space of a mod over value plus the trundle bed. We had also looked at CBR and it looks really nice!
That was an adorable ode to your husband <3 Sounds like a great guy!!
Oh no, you must not let boyfriend try to rid you of your love for ANYTHING (especially Disney) that is important to you - that's who you are!

I could not agree more! Jen, he needs to love you for who you are - warts and all... I mean, Dis-obsession and all!
Thanks guysReally, it's not terrible. He's accepted the fact that it's something I love and that that love will never die. He doesn't like it but he'll put up with it. He loves me for who I am, for sure. Disney is probably the only thing that we disagree on (except minor other things in everyday life) but that's what makes us individuals. He's obsessed with music, my obsession is Disney. I'm never going to give that up because that is what makes me, me. I really appreciate your support guys but no worries over here. DBF and I have our likes and dislikes but that's what makes us individuals

That's good to hear, Jen. I think at first it sounded like it was a major bone of contention between you, so we got all mother hen-ish. Of course, we all have our "issues" in our relationships. My husband certainly doesn't understand why I need to spend all this time on the Dis!
Mother hen-ish!Yup, that's us!
Seriously, you're right, we all have our issues. Mine recently "informed me" that he was not going to be "more authoritative" in my exercising. One of our issues. He's right, I do need to be more active, but the way it came across was a little (Ok, a lot) offensive. And mine must be in cahoots with yours, Rebecca- mine doesn't "get" the DIS thing either. I'm sure if I spent as much time running or exercising it wouldn't be an issue at all.![]()
Now, I know I said we'd decided on CBR. But as we have not yet booked - a girl can still play around right? CBR and I are just dating right now - no commitments yet.![]()
So, I plugged in our dates for Wilderness Lodge and.... NO ROOMS! How can that be? None? That makes no sense to me whatsoever! They were willing to sell me a Deluxe Concierge room for 4 adults and 2 kids, so why couldn't I stay there with just the four of us? Not that I would, but I want to see all my options.
Is it me, or does anyone else find the Disney reservations site a bit vexing?
Okay, what's the dealio? I was just on the WDW website messing around with different resorts and ticket options, just to see if perchance a 2 bedroom suite at a deluxe might pop up for $300 a night. Didn't happen. So dropping that idea, I removed the number 4 from the 'how many adults' box and changed it back to 2 adults, 2 kids. I mean, I don't really want to share a room with my folks anyway. Not unless we got a stellar deal on a suite.
