November weather?

we were at the World 2 years ago and wore shorts the whole time we were down there... Of course, we left Providence in a snowstorm and landed in 80 degree temps... The entire 5 days we were there were very nice in the high 70's. There was only one night that we should have worn long pants as it dipped down to the high 40's, but I was on vacation in Florida!!!! I'm hoping for the same weather this time.

November is one of those months that you can range 40 degrees in a night. I've been when it would reach almost 80 during the day and then drop to high 40's at night then I have also been the Friday night after Thanksgiving and pulled up when it was 38 degrees outside and very chilly. I have even walked into a park in shorts and put pants and a light jacket in the locker and changed into them when it was around 5:00 in the evening. Bring a little of everything as you may need it and don't forget to bring a rain pancho, it usually manages to rain a little bit each week I've been there.

We were there for Thanksgiving 02 and in 12 weeks from today we will be back.

In 2002 in was shorts and t-shirts in the day...and shorts and sweat-shirt / light jacket at night. Being from Chicago, it was wonderful. But them Floridians get all crazy when the temp goes below 70....they think its time for the heat to be turned on.
( LOL. ) I say that because we have several members of our family who live down there and thats their mentality.

We did not swim nor did it rain one day. Hopefully the same weather awaits EVERYONE this Thanksgiving.

I really wish these boards were around the last time I went to WDW. It was Thanksgiving week in 1996. It was cool up here, so I figured it would be cool down there (we usually went in August). On my first trip to the World that week, I wore overalls and a flannel shirt. It was 90 degrees. I almost died of heat exhaustion. I think, if I were you, I'll pack clothes for every type of weather. I heard that the temps vary greatly in November. I'm going the week before Thanksgiving and luckily I learned a lot from my last trip. LOL.

We've gone to WDW every other year for Thanksgiving since 1990, and the weather can be all over the place.
But for the most part it is beautiful in the 70s-80s, shorts and t's during the day, and jeans in the evening.
The only year we had horrible weather was in 2000 when it dipped down to the 30s & 40s with frost warnings in the evening. The days were cool but bright & sunny.
So from now on when we go at Thanksgiving we take jeans, shorts, t's, sweatshirts & a jacket for layering and those little stretch gloves.
My kids DD16 & DS13 with their cousins usually go to the pools after the parks close because they are heated. At times it gets so cool that they are swimming with the steam rising off the water.
Kinggoofy we are also from chicago and enjoy the temps in Nov. This Thanksgiving we will be down there with 26 of our relatives and friends. We are also hoping for great weather!

It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't swimming weather.

Wasn't El Nino 2000, though? We're hoping for better this year. Hoping, but not counting on it....packing a little of everything, leaning heavily on shorts, capris and t's, with a pair of jeans each and a sweatshirt...that ought to cover it. Don't panic and pack huge....you're not off in the boonies, a load of laundry as a possibility is probably better than two or three extra suitcases.

I've started throwing my kids clothes for each day in large ziploc bags....I just toss it on the bed in the morning and say "Here you go, get dressed." Then I have another set in a bag with me in the stroller to use after Kali River Rapids or Splash Mountain or whatever....

Leaving a warm change of clothes in the locker's not a bad idea, either, if you don't have a stroller/pack mule...
