November vs. December

Help pretty please!
I’m trying to decide and can’t!

November: avoid Jersey week
More steady temperatures (more like okay to swim)

December: more holiday decorations up, but chance it could be too cold to comfortably swim

Is there anything big I’m not considering? (Either would have to be in the middle of the month as I cannot miss the last three or first four business days of any month at work)

Mid Nov (week before Thanksgiving) should have lower crowds.

But yes, you'd be missing some resort decorations and holiday shows like the candlelight processional and Holiday Storytellers in Epcot.

We have done both. To our surprise, the week of Thanksgiving was not very crowded. Warm enough to swim comfortably at night. The day after Thanksgiving, the Christmas decorations were up.
I still prefer the first 2 weeks of December. All the decorations are up. If you want to swim, it can be on the cool side in the evenings.

When is Jersey week? We're going the week after Thanksgiving and hoping there are no events that week.

Usually the first full week of November. Its when they have Teacher dev. day on Wednesday and Teacher Convention the rest of the week.

Don't worry about Jersey Week. It barely has an effect on anything.

We've gone in November and really enjoy it. Nice days, sometimes you get lucky and it's hot. Swimming weather is hit or miss but usually good at least in the sun during the day. Lovely time to visit.

We love Jersey week! (and no, we're not from Jersey) The weather is fantastic plus you can catch the end of F&W and the start of the holiday season, including MVMCP. The crowds are totally manageable with good touring plans. I wouldn't shy away from that week at all.

We've been there the week before Thanksgiving, and are actually going that same week again this year with the hopes of lower crowds again. Most of the decorations were up in the parks, and halfway through our stay the Christmas tree in the AKL lobby magically appeared overnight.
