I used to consider myself some kind of Disney trip expert. But I am lost.

We used to buy Annual Passes and try to fit two or three trips in a year. We went to Disney World in May. The Magic Your Way packages had just begun, and I wasn't sure what the best plan would be. I bought one AP, for myself, and my husband bought MYW tickets. We used my AP to get a deal on our room.

We usually plan our trips 4-6 weeks ahead of time. (That's about as far ahead as we can plan around my husband's schedule.) And we were thinking about going again in mid-November. I can't book a Best Rate six weeks out, right?

Should I look at packages? Even though I have an Annual Pass?

Am I doomed to pay rack rate? If I can even find a room? Should I -- shudder -- call a travel agent?

I've always taken pride in doing all this myself. But I don't even know where to start.

Right now the only annual pass discount is if you book online through the best rate program and it has to be 60 or more days out. Saying that you would need to book about Nov 27th-ish or later for your trip.

There is a new package on the horizon. If you look on this board there are a lot of threads about it, no info on what it exactly is yet so keep your eyes peeled.

Other than that there is AAA discount and that is it.

Yeah, I've read about the new package deal that might be coming. I wonder if I would be better off with a package? Even though I already have an annual pass?

I think I'm too late for the Best Rate.
