My DH and I have decided to go November 4-10th,2006. Is that a good time of year to visit? We have been twice before in June and I must admit the crowds get to me! Thanks for your help and advice!! :flower: :flower: Maybe those who have just returned will have good advice!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

We wemt 11/5-9 this year, and compared to when we went in June two years ago, the crowds were much lighter. Weather much nicer too.

I has read much on these boards about Jersey week, Super Soap weekend and increased crowds, but i worried for nothing. While not dead, teh lines were not long nad the crowds very manageable.

I would go again that time of year, no question.

We were there for Jersey week this year and while it was crowded it certainly wasn't Christmas or Summer levels. We just made sure we were at the parks at opening and followed touring plans recommended at Tour Guide Mike. The one thing I would recommend is to stay away from MGM on Soap weekend, we went there on the Saturday and I've never seen so many people in a park, altho the rides were not particularily busy it was very difficult getting from point A to point B.

Having said all of that, we'll likely go the week after Jersey week as it will be that much quieter and the weather should still be great.

here are dates for future Jersey weeks that were posted on another thread

Thanks for posting the dates, runner. I have to disagree about the crowds and say that I would not go again during that time unless I really wanted to experience something in the Food and Wine Festival. I think that a 3 hour wait for Soarin on a Wed. was a bit much. When we went on Nov. 3, we sprinted to the ride. On November 9th (the day before the convention) it was a madhouse.

But then, I always go at the lowest attendance times and I'm a bit spoiled in my expecatations because of it.

We went November 12th - 20th this year. We didn't experience any real crowds except at the Magic Kingdom on Sat., Nov. 19th. That was probably because it was the beginning of Thanksgiving week.

The longest waiting line all week was 90 minutes for Soarin', but we got fast passes for it and didn't have to wait. All the rest of the week, the longest standby line we saw was 20 minutes.

If you would like to, you can read my 10 day trip reports on the other board.

DH and I were there Nov 9-15. The crowds were very light in my opinion, the only crowds we really ran into were on Sat, and that was at MGM but that was because of Super Soap Weekend, and we were able to get on the rides with no wait because most of the lines were for the soap stars and events, so that ended up being a good deal for us. Also a plus, the weather was absolutely awesome!! :sunny: We are already planning another trip for next Nov. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We were there Nov 6-12 and I think the crowds were pretty heavy compared to past Novembers that we've gone. The best week we've found is the full week before Thanksgiving. We decided no Jersey week again for a couple of reasons. It was just DH and I and our kids are college age and were at school that week.

Soarin on 9 Nov was crazy. We got in line as soon as we got in the park at 9 and had to wait for 45 minutes (posted 60 by the time we walked over) and then on Friday (11th) we went to MK for EMH and then over to Epcot and got in line for Soarin. The sign said 90 minutes, but we waited 1 hour. Both times by the time we got out of the ride the signs said 120 minutes and they were telling people out front it was 2-3 hours, IMO just to discourage people from even going in. Epcot on Friday 11 Nov was crazy, elbow to elbow and I know it was because of the F&W festival also. F&W is another reason we won't go back during that time.

and I thought the crowds were fairly manageable.

Our previous trip was the weekend of June 17 and it was awful. I couldn't believe the crowds and the heat.

I had heard a lot of things about Jersey week but was pleasantly surprised. We didn't wait more than 20 minutes for most rides; those that were longer were fastpassed. Yes, Soarin' was a long wait, but we fastpassed when we arrived and rode it when the pass came up. The worst crowds were on Friday, which we remembered after the fact was Veteran's Day so I think a lot of local schools could have been closed.

On Friday, we heard that FPs for Soarin' were gone by 11 AM and in the PM the wait was over 120 minutes.

We'll definitely be back next year, as it's the easiest time to take my son out of school, since we only miss a couple of 1/2 days of school all week.

we went Nov 6th - 11th and I was surprised how crowded it was. I would recommend avoiding Jersey week, also Nov 11th was a National Holiday, Veteran's Day, so that brought even more people to the parks. MK was especially crowded every day we were there and even more so during the nightime parades/fireworks. We have local friends near Orlando who go to the parks a lot and they told us how quiet it was the week before Jersey week they were amazed ar how busy it was (and this was on the Monday at MK, it only got busier during he rest of the week).
We plan to go back next year either in mid-late October or the week before Thanksgiving.

We just went Nov. 3-7 and experienced no lines and great weather.
We did not go to MK or Animal Kingdom so I don't know how it was in those parks.
We did the F&W Festival and MGM.

We just went the last week of October (just a week before you were planning to go). Loved it! The weather was fabulous, and the crowds were fairly light. Epcot was a little busy because of the food and wine festival, but still very manageable.

One suggestion, though - if there's any way to more your trip a week earlier (before 10/31), I would do it! You have the benefit of attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party that way. It costs extra to do that, but is well worth it, IMO. There is absolutely no wait to get on any rides at MK, and it's not crowded at all!!!!

:goodvibes DH and I go every year in Nov. This year Nov1st-5th and
the weather was great and also didn't have to wait in long lines.

This seems like the best time of year to go especially for the F&W
festival. Have a great time and don't worry about crowds.

We were there October 29-November 5. The weather was beautiful and we walked on all of the rides in MK, AK and MGM. We only dined in Epcot but it did seem a little more crowded there. We have young children so we skipped Epcot for this trip.
