November seems awfully busy

So I chose our dates, Nov 11-15 because after checking two different attendance calenders, attendance seemed to be low during this time period. However, I was blown away by how hard it was to get reservations for dining. Our last trip was February 2013 and I didn't have any issues with getting reservations, including BOG. So are the calendars wrong? Is mid November not so low in crowds?

It's getting busier every year. We go the week before Thanksgiving every year and it seems a little more crowded year after year. It still isn't close to summer crowds though.

It's not so much that it's super busy (there ARE crowds, though I do believe they're moderate in comparison with Christmas and summer) as it is free dining. It was the same way last year. People overbook restaurants because of the free dining, it becomes impossible to find availability. Get really comfortable with stalking the website if you want to change anything :/

It is slow time. It is also my favorite time of year to go.

They also extended F&W a little bit later in November this year, so you're going the last weekend of F&W. I'll be there at the same time! Not sure which ADRs you were hoping to get, but I was able to get all the ones I wanted.

I'm there close to the same time, Nov 10-18, and I managed to get all of my ADRs. I'm still tweaking the times, but I got all the restaurants we wanted. Don't give up. Availability is always changing!!

We're going to be there Nov 8-16. I've had trouble getting ADRs, too. In fact, we can't even book for 11/13-11/15.

BOG and Garden Grill were the difficult ones for us. I had to take an 8:15PM Garden Grill reservation for the 12th because it was the only option.

We went the 15th -20th of November last year and it was nuts. Cast member at the resort told us the whole year had been busier than normal in his opinion.

We were there last year in Mid November and it was a wonderful time. It was actually one of our most perfect WDW vacations. The weather was perfect and we were able to get all our ADR's and the Fastpasses we wanted. It was not crowded at all. We booked our first bounceback last year for Oct 19 - 26th this year because I wanted to do MNSSHP. I'm hoping to have the same great time as last year. We love fall at WDW.

Folks cancel all the time. We have been very lucky getting ADRs on the SAME DAY. Yes, it can be done.

I wonder if, along with what others have said above, with Veterans Day falling mid week this year more people might with school age kids take that entire week? That way the kids only miss 4 days and not 5 from school.

There are a lot of kids that don't have Veteran's Day off.
