Would anyone be interested in doing a photo safari/meet the first week of Nov? We could meet at one of the parks with a shot list and wander through the park with our cameras. Just think, no  from your families, no "you're stopping to take another picture?!", and a chance to trade tips, show off our cameras, and learn from each other.

Anyone interested?

ETA: Just a reminder, for anyone who would like to join us, makinorlando and I will be meeting on Friday, Nov. 10, at the entrance of Epcot at opening (9 a.m.) for a "photo safari". We'll meet by the Food & Wine sign just inside the gates. Hope more people can make it!

I wish I could just schedule a trip that quick.
I do not like rides too much, I will go on anything that is not too fast (anything with mountain in the name). So DW goes to the rides and doubles up with my fastpass while I take photos. But there is still not enough time for photos....

Sorry I didn't give you more warning. The idea occured to me last night.

Ok meet you at California adventure...

Kidding of course.

:thumbsup2 You know I am game! Especially if you make it a week day and I can pop over while DD is in school!!

From EPCOT today.

:teeth: D'oh! Should have been less East Coast-centric. I did mean WDW. Though the thought is tempting, Anewman, as I haven't made it to DL yet....

Martha, how does Wed., 11/8 work for you?

well you could run a dual (or triple?) photo safari meet. same list-different parks then share the photos with us who can not make it...

Wednesday are not usually a good day for me... I need to see if I can get somewhere for DD to go after school. They get out 1 hr early each Wednesday!

Martha, don't make yourself crazy trying to find a place for DD. What day works best for you? I'm the one on vacation with a (fairly) flexible schedule; I can work around yours. The best days for me are 11/7 - 10.

Mikeee, that's a thought. Is anyone going to DL/Tokyo/Paris who would be willing to coordinate a photo meet at one of those parks?

If a weekend date is decided, count me in. . . . . . . .

11/10 (Friday would be best for me during the week... I still would need to leave around 1:30 to make sure I'm back in time for DD when she gets out of school). EPCOT is probably the best for getting in and out of the quickest for me! I can be there before 9am to get an early start!

As much as I love MK - it's such a hassle getting too and from!

Actually, that works out perfect for me as well since I've got a food and wine pairing at 3 p.m. at Le Cellier. :)

Dznefreek, does that work for you as well?

Now to start working on the shot list. I'm open to suggestions!

Cool - I will "pencil" you in! Unless something out of the ordinary occurs I should be able to make it.

I love taking photos in World Showcase, it's the one place that I get resistance from Tara - I don't often get the opportunity to really walk back into the countries. The details in the architecture, etc.

How about WINE bottles?

That's all I got this morning... have to get Tara up for school!

Gee, how did I know you were going to say that?

Other suggestions:

Masks in Italy

A photo from each of the pavilions - Future World and World Showcase - that, while not necessarily of the building itself, instantly tells a person what pavilion it is (eg, the hot air balloons in the food court of The Land, or the racks of wine bottles in France).

:confused3 but why? I actually take more pics of wine bottles than I actually drink the stuff!

Masks in Italy... okay - I have REALLY missed something. See, there is still new stuff for me to do and see! Yeah!

I like these suggestions.

Because you've mentioned several times on other threads about how cool you think the wine bottles are, that's all. I only meant it in a teasing way, apologies if that didn't come across in my post. I'm all for the wine bottles because I'd never noticed how cool the symmetry and colors look until you'd posted your photos.

I was not upset... I just thought it was funny!

Whew! :)

OK, a few more suggestions for the shot list:

Fountains (I think nearly every pavilion has one, or at least a water feature)
Cast Members!
