Well, I was planning on taking my DS on his first trip to WDW the last week in Oct., but unfortunately my DH has a work conflict. I am now looking at the week of Nov. 10 or an early week in December. My DS will be 1 yr. old. Any suggestions? I've been to WDW in early Dec. and it was wonderful. Just wondering if Nov. would be better in terms of temperature so we can take him to the pool. Which week would you go with a 1 year old?

Thanks so much!

we're going the week of Nov 9-15 with our DS who will be 18 mo.
That should be a slow week at Disney (see their calendar)

That's when I'm thinking of going! Just wondering if he would have more fun when all the Christmas stuff is up? I don't know what to do!!! :confused3

I don't think he'll know the difference in decorations. I would pick your week based on crowds. Do you know where you are staying yet?

Our little guy turns one in October and he will be making his second trip in the end of November, the weather is fabulous and the Christmas stuff is up and it's still Value season :)

We were just ther this pas Nov. from Oct.31st -Nov.14th and I thought the crowds were a little heavy. With New Jersey Week, Soap Weekend and F&W Festivel and the Master of the Arts. The weather was Great the 31st -9th and got chill at night from the 9th -14th and as warm during the day, so it really depends on how much you want to do and when you want to get it done.

The crowds I hear are less the first week of Dec, but the weather is always iffy. Could be warm, could be cold you'll never really know. I am sure it is still a little warm during the day.

I hope this helps some.

We are going from Dec 9-16 because we thought that the pop warner would be over by then (it should be, but thats the week it starts this year, arg!!) and because its just before value time ends. We were orignally going to go from Dec 2-9, and that (I think) is the best time for anyone. Very small crowds, the cheepest time of the year (without hurrican warnings), and all the decorations are up. Either way, I think any time in the beginning of December is great, just make sure that if you go durring pop warner, that you are NOT staying in any of the value resorts.

We just took our 11 m.o. the first week of December. It was fantastic! It was actually warmer than we expected - perfect swimming weather. I'm sure my DD didn't understand what the holiday decorations were for, but I guarantee she noticed and loved them. She was CRAZY about the Osborne Family Lights at MGM. No matter when you go, it will be magical! :thumbsup2

We've gone at Christmas before and are going again this December when my son will be about 15 months old. I tell all my friends to go at Christmas. It is beautiful and you get so much more for your money. The Christmas experience is truly special. Have fun.

As far a weather, we only had one night where it was very cold, otherwise we were wearing long sleeved t-shirts or sweatshirts and a light coat at night. During the day, some people were swimming at the hotel pool and the water parks were open.
