It’s pretty much always busy now. Just the difference is it’s either busy or very busy. This weekend is Dapper Day so I would think Friday - Monday will be very busy.
It not being busy today doesn’t mean it won’t be busy later and vice versa
Well, it's pouring rain, windy, and cold today. Crowds will be minimal for the next couple days as this storm passes through. So don't use the next few days for accurate data.
In past years early to mid November was a great time to go. But it seems impossible to predict anymore with the new reservation systems in place, so I think you just have to "pays your money and takes your chances" and hope for the best. I kept seeing on these boards how Mondays are the new Saturdays and it is better midweek. We were there from Sun-Wed (Oct 23-26). Sunday/Monday at DL were very busy but tolerable and seemed identical in crowd levels. But then on Wednesday at DL it was insane and the crowds were off the charts. Had thought that would be the best day but ended up being the worst and we bailed mid-afternoon to end the trip. Even with optimistic attitudes and low expectations it got too much for our group that day when it felt like the entire park was one big mosh pit.
We were there 8-11 Nov - it was pretty busy the whole time (except for when it poured with rain). Ride waits for headliners got above an hour pretty quickly with some hitting more than 2hours. Afternoons pretty much everything was 30 mins plus... even Luigi's got close to an hour. Pirates queue was regularly out over the bridge. Disneyland in particular was packed - the Christmas merchandise brings a lot of people into Main Street.
But we found the LLs moved quickly - even if it sometimes looked as if they wouldn't - so we still got a lot done!
