Hey guys. I'll be attending Disneyland on either the 15th or 16th of Nov. most likely on the 15th after seeing that the SoCal AP is blacked out. One thing I can't avoid though is the Avengers Half Marathon. The best I can do is see what day is the best to go. Thats what leads me here. I'm really discouraged about having to go on THAT weekend, being my first Disneyland visit in years (I live in Seattle now). I've had people tell me that while it will be busy, Marathon crowds aren't that bad and the runners could be leaving later in the day due to exhaustion OR to go to bed early in preparation for Sunday morning. Is this true? In Your opinion, what would be the best day to attend? Keep in mind that on Saturday, the Deluxe and Premium AP's are valid. Sunday those 2 AP's +SoCal are valid.

I will be running in the Avengers race. It is my first trip to DL. I plan on visiting the parks Wednesday and Thursday before the race and then spending Friday and Saturday in Hollywood and San Diego. Sunday, after the race, I plan on doing my final day of parks but it will be after I recoup from the race (relax, eat, shower, etc) so it will be a slow start for me. Monday I will be heading home.

I am running Sat in the five k race. I will be there Thursday, Friday (early to bed), Sat all day with rest shower times after race and breakfast, Sun and Mon full days Tuesday im heading home

Well, this is the first Avengers race, but if it's anything like Tink, which is in January and has similar blockouts, Saturday will be more crowded than a typical Saturday and Sunday will be more crowded than a typical Sunday. There is no single post race pattern. And many who do the 5k are fully recovered quickly and will spend the rest of the weekend in the parks. I'd probably do Saturday, just because of the delayed opening on Sunday. But get there at rope drop, as many racers will start their day at the expo and then filter in later in the day.
