Do I throw in something for each season? Stick to many layers? Skip the swimwear? Am of northern stock (MN) however now live in NC. I am trying to limit to a carry-on and backpack only. Staying at OKW and relying on only Disney transit. Have one dinner at Monseuir Paul that I would like to be a bit dresses up for.

I go to DW every year for my birthday in November. I would pack a few tees, shorts, 1 or 2 pairs of long pants, a sweater, sneakers and flip flops. It is still warm to go in the pool so defiantly pack a swim suit. Pack something nice for dinner that is not to light and not to warm. Hope you have a fun time!

Hi, I live here about 80 miles west of WDW. Since you are from the south but more northern than us I'll tell you November is iffy. November/Dec & Jan/Feb are like northern spring time. You never know what you are going to get. Early Nov it's usually still in the 80's by day and mid to high 60's at night but by Thanksgiving, it starts to cool down. It has been down right cold here then. Some years I've had the heat on during Thanksgiving and some years the AC. The past two years have been moderate in temps. FL people almost never swim. The pools are heated to I think 84 degrees all year so if that's ok for you, swimming isn't a problem. If you are late Nov, you should plan on a sweatshirt/windbreaker or sweater. I'd probably mix a pair of shorts with a pair of jeans just in case.
We are predicted to have a wet winter this year so I'd definitely pack a poncho or small umbrella.

We have been down a few times in November and live in New York. At this time of year we tend to bring our larger luggage down to be fully prepared. Like other posters wrote, could be warm/ could be cold; be prepared for both.

Pack both shorts and long pants. We bring T-shirts down along with a sweatshirt or two and light jacket for layers. You can change the ratio based on the forecast just before you head down. On an average November day, it could feel too cold in the early morning for shorts, but the Florida sun heats up the day fast and shorts will be fine for most of the day. Normally it takes a while for the temperatures to cool down in the evening. I brave the hour or two of cold in the morning and the traveling back to the resort after park closing and wear shorts all day. My wife is different. :)

On one trip the week was warm and I never wore jeans, on another cool and wet week it was almost only jeans. If it is unusually cold or warm for the week, you can always do some laundry on the clothes you need to reuse.

So, it sounds like shorts and capris will be fine for daytime, but might be a chilly ride home nightly. What shoes do/have you packed for seasonal weather, especially a rainy winter? I plan to pack my Keen sandals, a pair of Chuck Taylor's and perhaps another pair....

Thanks for the tips. I am always cold so I will be sure to pack lots of warm clothes . I onces bought Mickey glove oven mitts to keep my hands warm at disneyland:)

I've been down in December before, and I always wear long pants year-round, but sturdy waterproof shoes are always a good idea for WDW, and I always carry a water resistant wind breaker (WDW branded, even!). The major change for my wardrobe is that I bring or wear an additional layer, depending on the weather for the day - either a t-shirt under a normal shirt, or I also have a Mickey vest that adds extra warmth, plus the jacket over it and I'm quite warm. I don't even pack long sleeve shirts though, just the jacket.

Hi fellow NC person! We went last November. It was chilly especially at night. We each took a fleece vest which could come off and on easily. I also took a really light weight zip up hoodie. I did a mix and match of black, white, and gray so I could coordinate into different outfits. Black legging type capris work well under long tops. Especially a dressy top for a dinner out. You need to plan for both chilly and warm! We did swim at Discovery Cove one day....we wore half wet suits! We were there 4 nights and packed everything in a carry on and back pack. Just be sure to take 2 pairs of walking shoes. Wearing the same pair everyday can make your feet hurt.

We've started going in November - this will be our third year. Two years ago, it was warm almost the whole trip, except for one evening. (As a regular summer Disney goer, I was caught without proper clothing and had to buy a sweatshirt.) Last year, we had several days of very cool weather - one day was a high of 48F. I was in jeans, my sweatshirt, my hoodie, AND my scarf! Then later in the trip, there were highs in the 80s and we were sweating. Be ready for ANYTHING!

We went at the end of November 2007 and it was crazy hot. We had to buy new shirts because we were expecting it to be cooler and only brought long sleeves. We went again at the end of November 2013 and it pleasant most days, but a couple of them were so cold. We had long sleeves and coats, but it felt bitter cold with temps dropping to the 30's with high winds. I would just check the weather in advance, bring layers and be prepared for anything.
