Hi All ::MickeyMo

I was just looking at the November Hours which are now up on the WDW site and I noticed something...

Both water parks (TL and BB) are closed for refurbishment from the last week of October through the whole of November.

Surley this can't be right....no water parks for the whole of November :scared1: :scared1:

Please tell me it ain't so

Thanks

Mickeyetta

Blizzard Beach is closed from the end of October until the end of December and Typhoon Lagoon will then be closed from the beginning of January until the end of March.

Hope this helps - at least you get one!! We always go in November so never get to go to Blizzard Beach. Can't complain - Typhoon Lagoon is still excellent.

Thanks for your replies :thumbsup2

I'm sure one of them will be open ..... but i'm even more confused now  as to which one.

Disneyworld.com - shows that both water parks are out of action for November whilst Disneyworld.co.uk is all over the show....but looks like TL will be closed for refurb through the whole of November?

When do disney finalise the refurb dates for water parks?? We tend to like TL better than BB - Hubbie loves the big waves..so this is his Disney treat if you like

Thanks all again,

Mickeyetta (Helena)

we went nov 2006 blizzard beach was closed all 2 wks for refurbishment, dont think it should need doing again

They close each of them every year for 3 months each for cleaning etc. It is definately Blizzard beach that is closed in November as I phoned and asked. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all your replies. :thumbsup2

Seen as there was so much confusion I thought i'd e-mail Disney to get it straing from the horses mouth so to speak....Here's there reply

"Dear Helena,
Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

So it seems like BB it is then :yay:
Thought i'd post it up here for any one else going in November :goodvibes

Thanks

Now I'm even more confused. I've checked the Park Hours on the Disneyworld site which confirms what you were told in an email in that Blizzard Beach is open and Typhoon Lagoon closed. However, under Oepration updates in the NOVember calendar it states every single slide/ride being closed for refurbishment - not much point going if nothing is open!! I've emailed Disney directly to see if they can clarify the situation. We are travelling November 2nd - 16th so obviously it impacts upon us too. I woudl be very surprised if both were closed??? :confused3

I need to know too
BB was closed last Nov too

At least it's just not me who's confused by the info on WDW.com:confused3

It'd just be nice to know will it be BB or TL we will be going to in November...we're not big BB fans so I wont have to plan in so much time for that...but if TL is open I'll have to plan in more time as hubbie is a big kid and loves the killer waves :cool1:

It'd be interesting to see what response you get to your e-mail Sweet Pea, to see if we can work out which water park will be open. I very much doubt Disney will close both...it'd hit them in the pocket hard.

I've nopw had a reply from Disney. Looks like it is definately Blizzard Beach that is open.

Dear Sara,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

At this time, we are showing that Typhoon Lagoon will be closed for
refurbishment during this time. Blizzard Beach will be open for your
enjoyment.

We hope you will have a magical stay with us.

Information is subject to change without notice.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Mystery solved.....

Looks like Disney have updated their website.

Tl is definitely down for refurb in Nov and BB is open most day 10am till 5pm and all those mystery rides out for refurb have disappeard.....

Looks like BB it is for us November Bods :cool1: :cool1:

See you all there in November

Mickeyetta
