O.k so am now considering November if I can't wait till January...so what are the holidays in the U.S in November? I know your Thanksgiving is in November and do you also get Nov. 11th off for Remembrance day?
Trying to pick a good time.
Help??:coffee:

Nov 11 is Veterans Day- many companies will give Monday off for this holiday (but if a company is going to 'cut' a holiday, this is one of the first ones to go- so you will find just as many people who have to work this day too)

Thanksgiving is Nov 22 this year. Practically everyone in the US will have that day off, and most will have the Friday after as well (known affectionately as Black Friday for Christmas shopping)

Also, not a holiday, but Election Day is Tues Nov 6. If people are going to vote, they either need to be in their home district or planned WAY in advance for an absentee ballot if they are going to be out of town.

Hi, fellow Canadian here! :thumbsup2 Yes, Rememberance Day is Veterans Day here, and is not revered as much as in Canada...here in Texas, most companies are open, schools are open, I think even the banks are open, but the post office closes I believe. In any case, it is not a major "holiday" that would affect crowds very much at WDW. You might inquire about Jersey Week. New Jersey gets a week off of school and WDW gets very crowded. I think it is in the beginning of November, but I could be wrong. The Thanksgiving week here is one of the busiest time at WDW, but apparently the week before and after are quiet.
