November Holiday and planning questions

We are planning a trip to Disneyland November 9-14. I saw on the schedule that Small World will be reopening on November 11, does this mean that all the holiday lights will be up at this time? My coworker goes to disneyland every year on the Monday following Vetern's Day and the lights are always up. We were there last year and saw the holiday lights and they were beautiful and we are bringing family members this year who this is their first time going.

Also, we are still booking our tickets and I was wondering how often Disney puts out deals for the hotel?

If It's a Small World is, indeed, opening on 11/11, then it will be in its Holiday form, with the complete overlay (not just on the exterior of the ride, but the inside of the ride is completely done over too).

The holiday season at Disneyland Resort does not officially begin until 11/14 (Monday), but 95% of the decorations will be up by the time you take your trip. Haunted Mansion Holiday will be up and running, too. Some of the holiday entertainment options will not begin until 11/14.

Certain things will not begin until 11/14. You will miss things like the snow falling on Main Street unless you stay until the evening on 11/14. You will also miss seeing Santa and Santa's Reindeer Round-Up unless you visit it on your very last day.
