Ok, well maybe not EXACTLY Hawaiian shirts, but for November.... I realize that we are doing shorts with T-Shirt AND Sweatshirt or long pants or capris in the evening with a jacket but I guess my question is:

Are we going bright colored summery look, i.e. Yellow Capris-White shirt (because we are in Florida)? Or am I supposed to tone it down i.e. navy blue capris (because it's November)?

(I was kinda thinking that i wouldn't wear yellow capri pants in November in Jersey even if the weather did get up to 80 degrees)

Does just the fact that i will be in Florida excuse all of the "dress for the season" rules?

Ok, now that I read over my own post it does seem silly, but honest-- its a real concern of mine, as I am currently trying to 1. Pack away our summer clothes, 2. Get ready for Disney 3. Make room and bring out our winter clothes from the basement.(brrrrrr, better hurry up on that one) :scratchin

You can wear whatever colors you like, there are no color police here in Florida. Fashion police yes, color police, no. LOL No one is going to look down at you for wearing white or any other "summery" color after labor day. If you want to wear yellow, go for it! :sunny:

Thanks for your reply. I guess my regular summerwear will be ok, with a light jacket.

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

I was wearing a Hawaiian shirt in MGM once and a Green Army Man with a megaphone announced that he liked my "Disney Camoflauge shirt". lol

I hope it's ok. We have family shirts/dresses (the blue ones from the Disney catalog/store - we got them on clearance). They are so cute and I really wanted us all to wear them to match (Mom-mom and Pop-pop too). I thought it would be a cute picture. I am hoping for warm weather as the girls dresses are all sleeveless.

I plan to pack 1-2 pairs of shorts, capris and jeans. I have heard the weather goes between 32 deg and 85 deg. So, plan for anything :D .

Have a great trip!

It's nice to know that there are "Jersey Girls" out there worried about this issue. I've been debating proper warm weather wear for Disney (we'll be there 10/23-10/30) Most of my summer clothes are suitable for the shore and are rather bright, those of us in the north don't usually have much fall type warm weather wear as it seems that in Jersey we go from Summer right to Winter with very little Fall! I've decided that I'll take my chances with the fashion police and wear my Shore wardrobe cause it's all I have!

We always wear Hawaiian shirts (the louder, the better!) to MGM no matter what time of year. It just seems to go with the "feel" of the park!

We bought the same matching shirts and dresses and are planning on a family picture in front of the castle.

I say as long as you are comfortable then who cares what the "proper" way to dress is.

My DH will be wearing his hawaiian shirts when we go during Thanksgiving. Just be comfortable. I'm a t-shirt person, so much of my wardrobe will be Disney T's w/blue jean shorts.

I totally agree with the notion that this is your vacation, and you should be able to dress in ways that make you feel comfortable. I live in New England, and the temps I'll feel tomorrow say "summer" to me. I'm bringing shorts -- yes even the white ones, and white capris too ***oh, the horror***, but I just don't care about the fashion police.

I live in Central Florida. I am still wearing flip flops (they are white). My ds is still wearing his Hawiian shirts.

I too am a New Englander!! Brrr!! We are trying to not use the heat due to the oil prices, but it's getting soooo cold. We can't wait to go to Florida, it better be warmer than this.

Anyway, I am laughing because i just went through the whole what to wear what not to wear thing. I just had to bring up all the winter wear (sweaters and cords and stuff) and put the summer stuff away, BUT had to save some summer stuff for Florida. I just started packing suitcases even though we don't leave for 2.5 more weeks. Then I started wondering about the colors like all of you. Glad to hear there are more people like me out there.

We leave Nov. 6th and I am hoping for warm weather, since I already packed some clothes away (I know in the past the 2nd week of Nov. has been warm and other years cold) so we can wear our shorts again.

Thanks.
