We have been trying to book flights on Southwest for November 6 - 13. Our first choice for airports is Providence to Orlando. We have not been able to get the cheap flights for our dates. What do you think the chances are of anymore of these prices to open up anytime in the near future?

They have sonme "cheapie" fares to Tampa for your dates.
I won't even hazard a guess as to "cheapie" fares in the future.

I just booked $115 RT out of JFK in NYC. I guess a long drive to NY is a little much, but that is the cheapest I ever booked to Orlando!

For folks in my area, Delta has $49/each way to Orlando flights out of Newark, LGA, and JFK. Jet Blue also has these out of JFK.

We are going 11/5-11/13 out of PHL... I couldn't get the lower rate & itinerary that I wanted into MCO so I booked into Tampa instead at $74 each way. It's only about an hour away so you might want to check into it... We were going to fly out on 11/6 like you but decided to take an evening flight that friday to get an early start on Saturday!
Good Luck
Christine

You can do it for $115 per person PVD-MCO round-trip if you take the 7AM flight back on the 14th instead of the 13th. If you Priceline an Airport hotel for the night of the 13th, it could be well worth it. Another alternative is the 7:45AM flight out of Tampa on the 13th, which is still at the cheap rate. However if you insist on flying only on Saturdays, or at any specific time, you will pay more. The return flight seems to be the problematic one, so you will need be a little flexible on that return flight if you are going to save money. I don't expect prices will be going down much more, so figure out a schedule that works for you and book it.

we are going same dates from PVD.
I jumped on the SWA site last week the same day the november schedules came out and we couldn't get the "cheap" fares either.
Ended up with $141 down and $69 back (had to leave early AM back). kind of bummed.... I looked yesterday and if we had done Sunday to Monday we could do the $49 each way... but it's too late now... and a credit won't do me any good since we don't plan on traveling again within the year..

Up until this morning, American had flights from Boston to MCO for $91 round trip. With taxes, etc., it came to $110.

I missed out on this because I made reservations through TravelNow.com last week. By the way, I'll never use Travel Now again for air fare. The only way to communicate is via email, and it took them 12 hours to respond to my questions re cancellation. I'll go directly to the airlines themselves from now on. At least you can always call and talk to a person, even if the news isn't good  ......

Hey, we're flying down the same time ,also. After I booked the airfare I found out that if we went 11/8-11/16 instead it would have been 1/2 the price, a savings of over $700 for five. The prices are higher because of flying over the weekend, compared to weekdays.

If you are speaking of SWA, the day of the week usually does not matter. We are flying out on Friday and our friends are flying back on Sat. Still the same 49.00 each way fare. The weekends just book faster.

we are flying down in november too and right now the saturday flights are non existent for the "internet only rate"

we had to book friday to sunday in order to get the better rates

we usually find an internet rate is applicable to any day of the week ( like our september booking ) but right now for our market and for your market too, it seems, does not have the "internet" rate open for "saturday travel"

this of course can change depending on load factors as time progresses....

just keep checking, we intend to since we really did not want to do 9 days, just the 7 days but if we have to we can work around the 9 day rate since it is good

:charac2: Poor you!, and extra 2 days in WDW! You'll get lots of pity from this group about your unfortunate situation! :p :p (only teasing, of course)

Poor you is right! LOL - I was hoping to find that a Sunday flight would be cheaper so I could 'justify' having to stay an extra day !!No luck though! I already booked a late Friday night flight so I could have the whole day instead of a partial for day one!!!
