November dining reservations?

DH and I will be there for 4 days in mid November for the last weekend of F&W. Yesterday was the first day for us to book and could not get BOG, 'Ohana, or Via Napoli. The concierge planning team at Yacht and Beach couldn't come up with anything for us either. This morning I checked and it seems more options have opened up (Via Napoli is now available for the day/time we wanted). I'll keep looking for openings for the other two and hopefully something will eventually open up. The 180+10 coupled with free dining seems to have really made an impact on what I thought was going to be a relatively slow time to go. :confused3

Count me among the lucky who managed to get all his desired ADRs!

Our dates are 10/31 through 11/6 and we scored
Narcoosee's Dinner
Chefs de France Lunch
Las Ventannas Breakfast
Beaches & Cream
Maya Grill Dinner
California Grill during Wishes
Be Our Guest Dinner
Sanaa Lunch
La Hacienda de San Angel Dinner

Kind of the same issues here for my Nov. 8-13 trip. I was able to get my reservations that I wanted, but after the fact, our friends that live in Orlando want to come with us to BoG. I've been unable to get a reservation for 5 people for dinner on the day I want, but I can look at any day in the summer and get one no problem. Hopefully they'll open more spots soon!

We went during Free Dining and 2010 and 2012 (though we didn't know Free Dining existed at the time) and had no issues finding reservations either time.
We went during free dining in 2011 and 2013 in November and I had no trouble getting all the restaurants we wanted on the days we wanted within a 30 minute time frame of when we wanted to eat - including BOG!

My window opened this morning for 11/15-11/22.

I was able to book San Angel Inn, Trattoria Al Forno, Yak and Yeti, Narcoossee's, Captain's Grille, 50's Primetime, Rose and Crown, GF Cafe, Cape May Cafe, 'Ohana, Raglan Road, and Paradiso 57.

I was not able to book Liberty Tree Tavern (still undergoing renovation) nor BOG (tried for every day of the trip for lunch, and no success).

Most importantly, I was able to book the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, which I've wanted to do for years, but never could get a reservation for! After 40 years of going to WDW, I'm finally going to see the legendary "utilidoors"...

I was just doing 1 day of reservations today (staying at SOG before transferring on property). Tried to get a Plaza ressie on our MVMCP night, no luck. Settled for Kona Cafe, hoping something will open up. My full vacation window opens tomorrow. Not very optimistic. :guilty:

This will be our third trip on FD. Last trip was a somewhat short notice decision and made well after 180 window and while there were a few places we could not get - we got the majority of what we wanted. So, this does seem like a surprise. And based on the BOG open avail for July that I found when testing out the 45 cancellation theory - but none for those right at the 180 mark - it seems that either a lot of reservations get cancelled at the 45 day window or WDW is holding back ADRs and releasing at a later date - or some combination of both.

I sure liked the reservation system they used last year, for BOG lunch, a lot better than it being on their normal dining reservation page. My 180+10 reservation date is this Friday, we are on the QS dining plan and the only ressie that I will be looking for is BOG lunch. Since we don't want it till the end of our 8 day trip, I am sure hoping I can get one.

I was able to get a BOG lunch on the 7th day of our trip. There were a lot of options open. Hope you have the same experience!

We're booked in November for: Raglan Road, 50s, Paradiso, Chefs De France, Rose & Crown, CRT (actually got a pre-park opening time, until they extend hours..haha), Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic, BOG Lunch, and Garden Grill. We'll most liklely be canceling the Paradiso, as we're hoping to go to the Christmas Party that night.

Just curious if most are having better luck with online ressies or phone? Our 180 day window opens tomorrow... Thx in advance.

I've changed some of our ADR's since I booked them Sunday morning. I think we've got some good ones!
We're now doing the following:
Rainforest Café (at AK)
Crystal Palace
Beaches & Cream
Planet Hollywood
Hollywood & Vine
Be Our Guest (lunch)
'Ohana
Coral Reef
Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Chef Mickey's
We'll also book House of Blues as soon as it becomes available, and will probably end up dropping Rainforest Café. Not sure yet, though.

I would suggest online first, and then perhaps call? I didn't even consider that option but since the phone lines open one hour later you could actually do both!

Epcot and HS do not have all reservations available until the release of the Candlelight Processional reservations become available which starts in November. The same can be said for F! Dinner package for HS.

I didn't get about half of what I was looking for initially for November 14th - 21st but am slowly but surely filling slots as openings become available or settling for 2nd choices.

Kona cafe 14th (wanted Ohana)
Trails End 15th (wanted Whispering Canyon)
Mama Melrose Fantasmic package 16th (2:30 pm reservation, looking for a little later)
Askerhaus Princess Breakfast and Via Napolli Dinner 17th
HDDR 18th
Crystal Palace 19th just before the MVMCP (wanted BOG, still trying)
Ohana 20th (will change this one if we can get Ohana on the 14th)

I will say that in some cases there was availability at the places I wanted on the dates I wanted but the times were just ridiculous. Cannot eat at 9:45pm with a 4 year old.

I don't understand that, Candlelight Processional has historically been late November, but I have heard from several people that they heard they are holding back reservations for it.

SCORE!

I wanted a BOG dinner reservation when my window came open last Wednesday but was only able to score a lunch on Nov14th. But I have been randomly looking since then for Friday evening the 13th. And when I put it in tonight it gave me a 5pm time. I blinked to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me then made that reservation fast!

So don't give up. You never know when something will open up. Now if I could get Garden Grill for arrival day on the 9th I would be really happy.

Just remember that you can get go online for reservations at 6am but only 7am on the phone, so online is usually the best bet first.

I can't find the cancellation thread. I'm going to be cancelling BOG for six people on November 16 at 6:30.

This happened to us last November around the same time, we were there 11/13 for 7 nights. I think it was related to free dining promo. I tried unsuccessfully to get our faves like Sci-fi, Tusker House, Vi Napoli, 1900 PF. We only were able to get CP dinner, Kona cafe, and Trails End ( which was great) the rest were QS that trip. We also went this year at Easter and got everything we wanted including CRT, BOG, SciFi, MM, Vi Napoli so go figure, crowd levels were way higher than November trip.
