Hi all, im just after some views on how busy the parks are during the first two weeks of November? It's a time of year i've not done before and wondered how busy they will be. A few sites say it's a 1 crowd level time of year like february, would you guys agree?

Many thanks for the help on this one

Paul

I love going the first couple weeks of November! Crowds are down and the temps are great. We use to go to WDW the beginning of November when our kids were small for that reason, but now that they are older, we don't want them missing alot of school. Now we go the week of Thanksgiving so they only miss 2 days of school compared to 5. If you can go the first week or 2 of November, go for it!

We are trying the week of the 13-20 this year..because of jersey week and veterans day being on the 11th...that friday-sunday..may be busier than usual. Jersey week doesnt have a huge affect on the parks..but it will be average crowds that week..so I think the 3 rd week should be quieter since its the week b4 Thanksgiving..or hoping anyway..but November overall is below average crowd..should be a good time.. ...It will be more than a one..probably an 8 or 9 on veterans day weekend..but overall a 3 or 4 is more like it.

Tahnks for the prompt replys guys, I have to say I hadn't heard of Jersey week till now. Is a national holiday in the USA? I know silly Brit question :confused3

Jersey week is pretty famous. What happens is we have the NJEA convention for the teachers and election day in the same week. That generally means, 2 days of school. That means - go to Disney! lol. We went the week after Jersey week one year and when Jasmine asked where we were from we said Jersey and she said, wow, your whole kingdom was here last week! lol

Thanks Love4Disney, im getting the opinion that jersey week is on to avoid after reading a few other posts i found via google.

I've done a bit more research on Jersey week tonight and to be honest the more I read the more I feel it's worth avoiding. Is Jersey week really as bad as people say:confused3

We went the Friday before JW up until the Sunday which was the last day of JW, and the weekend before wasn't bad, but the crowds did increase on a daily basis. If you're going for 2 weeks, get much done the first 1 1/2 weeks, and then have some downtime, or get to the parks at rope drop, ride and gather fastpasses, and enjoy some afternoon downtime by the pool. Head back later with your fashpasses.

That second week is not only Jersey week, it's also the last week of the F&W, and as PP pointed out, it's Veteran's Day weekend. I fully expect the day of our arrival, Nov. 12, to be JAM PACKED. But then I think there will be a big drop in the crowd beginning Nov. 13 and it will just continue to get less crowded as the week passes.

We went the same week last year and it was a dream. However, it wasn't Jersey week and I don't recall any school holiday on Veteran's Day.

Jersey week isn't famous where I live, lol! :)

We were there last year from 11/5-11/10, right during Jersey week.
The person I travelled with has been to WDW many times, usually in August, September and October and said that it was much less crowded than any time they had been before (I'm going to say probably 6-7 previous trips??).
MVMCP ( the first one) while not empty, we still did anything and everything we wanted. We got excellent spots for the parades, Illuminations at Epcot and the Fireworks at MK both times we were there.

The F&W was fairly busy on the 5th (a Friday) but not horribly so and on the day we went to the MVMCP we went to Epcot before the party and it wasn't busy at ALL, until around 4:30-5 as we were leaving for the MK.

A good gauge away from Disney: WWOHP wasn't crowded at all.

Now granted it was COLD (like 40 degrees) but the longest wait at WDW was Peter Pan (45 minutes) so we got a fastpass to return. Everything else was a walk on or a max 15-25 minute wait.
My plan for a return trip is around that same time next year.

Early November is a great time to visit, but IMHO it gets much better crowd-wise after the Food & Wine Festival ends. We usually begin our trips -- including our upcoming one :cool1:-- for that week. It's worked out very well for us and we enjoy the break before the holidays begin in earnest. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Jersey week changed this year. However, in order to prove the crowd levels... this picture is from 3:00 PM on Tuesday, 11/9/10. I figured it was a good way to show them.

That looks as busy as it was the start on February when we were in the World, not as scary as I thought it would be.

Thank you everyone for the advice and replys :wizard:
