November clothing??

Helping my sister pack for her November trip. They are going over Thanksgiving holiday. Can anyone help me with the weather?

Having been there the last 5 to 8 Thanksgivings, I can tell you that from morning till evening, shorts and tee shirts are the rule. After dark, the temps have ranged from 70 to 40. We pack for the days, and bring sweats for the unknown evenings. One year, the pools were hidden by the steam, ( as they are heated year round), kids didn't mind. It's like the weather transitional period there. To us, it's THE time of year to go....

CTPacky is right. This is a wonderful time to go weatherwise. But please tell her to try to pack some jackets and long pants as well. Two years ago when we were there the week prior to the holiday it was so cold it was unbelievable. We couldn't even go swimming and we nearly froze on E-night.

We where there one year and it got so cold and rainy. Now I always also pack a pair each of thermal longjohns, top and bottoe, gloves, hat and scarf.. better safe than sorry

November 1998...record highs during the period of 11/16-11/24. DW and I were in shorts the whole time. But, I wouldn't count on it. Many of the people there said they had never seen temps that warm that late in the year for quite some time.

Guess we just lucked out!!

Check the online Orlando weather forecast a day or 2 before you leave. That should give you a good idea what to expect. Plan on cool evenings. I like to take a light jacket or sweatshirt & throw it in a locker to retrieve when the sun goes down. Or tie it around your waist. You are picking a great time to go!
