23-Minnie and friends at the plaza inn
24- WOc/ariels 6:50 with 9:00 WOC show(this may change if our golden fastpasses work in the VIP section, we would rather have lunch at ariels)
25- Thanksgiving dinner at 5:30 in the DLH Ballroom
26- Mickay and friends PCH grill

We may still add Rainforest cafe for the night we get there. We love the atmosphere but the price and the food...that just isnt worth it.

The other places we dont make ressies.....we just pick a place and eat there. Anyone elses ressies match our times?

I feel you GingerR... I have been prepping for rain the past 2 weeks after all the rain we had in the SF Bay Area... DD(5) got new rain boots and I got myself a new trench coat for the trip...lol. We won't be arriving til the evening of the 10th , so past the 10 day forecast, but I saw the 80-90 forecast for next week and thought - oh boy! Guess I need to unpack our summer clothes again just in case

This is the 1st time we are flying down as I am terrified of driving in tule fog and SW airlines had a great deal I couldn't pass up. I had wanted to pack light you know. This forecast threw me for sure!!! In goes the whole wardrobe again

Nothing like seeing IASW Holiday in 90 degree weather... lol

I didn't "pick" November, since I'm going for a conference, but I was looking forward to a trip in the nice, cool weather. Last week it was forecasting rain and I had my wardrobe all picked out in my head (including my rainjacket). Now I'm thinking I'm going to have to pack shorts/short sleeves AND pants/long sleeves. The weather looks like it will go from scorching to quite cool during the time I'm there. Darn it, darn it, darn it!

Just called HoJo and upgraded to a park view room. Weird thing - Thursday 11/18 was more expensive? or is it just that the ent rate isnt available that night??? DH called - he is short on details sometimes!!

This time next friday I will be at the airport waiting for my plane!! No work, no someone needing something, no worries.

Double digits are looking quite nice, aren't they? I agree. Can't wait to be in a magical place with no worries and nothing to do but have fun!

Mariezp we have done thanksgiving Dinner in the park for the past four-five years. We love that week. We have always eaten at BB for our TG dinner and we love the meal but this year we decided to change it up. I'm sure any place is good but we do love the original turkey dinners.

Glad to hear a positive review of the park from a seasoned Thanksgiving Day vet! We will actually be doing our lunch at Plaza Inn so I do believe we will be able to partake of some of the traditional turkey and dressing. I am not really looking forward to dining somewhere that day without a ressie but that's what was requested so we will just make the best of it. Blue Bayou is just going to be our grand finale before we head home the next day. I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving day meal in the ballroom!

Glad to answer your questions! The day before Thanksgiving has been packed the last few years.....but not nearly as bad as summer vacation.
Thanksgiving we find is more crowded in the day rather than in the afternoon and evening it dies down when people go to dinner or home....ect. The day after is usually pretty empty. Last year the day of Thanksgiving we hopped on Indiana within 15 mins and pirates had no wait. The day after we got onto indiana within 20 mins and pirates was a pretty much walk on. Of course....there will always be people there and not to mention is a break time. Hopefully this year it wont be too packed! Hopes this answers some of your questions. IF you have anymore about places to eat dinner for Thanksgiving or anything else i'll be happy to answer them.

If other people can survive the summer crowds then I feel pretty sure we can take on the Thanksgiving crowd no sweat!

I'm feeling not very ready because I'm not used to leaving in the middle of the school year. I will be at work one day and driving to DLR the next. I'm used to having days ahead of time to pack and think and shop. Hope I don't forget something!

I bet you will be just fine! If you do happen to forget something just think of it as a good time to pick up a little souvenir from the park.

Thanks for the quick responce. I've already got our meals booked, breakfast at the Plaza on the 24th, lunch at Cafe Orleans on the 25th, and AG/WOC dinner on the 27th. We may cancel the dinner if the crowds are to crazy at the que. We have a 2 1/2 year old and not looking foward to standing for 2-3 hours fighting to keep our spots. I'll have my LGMH, if you see us say hi!!

Hope you don't end up having to cancel your WOC package but at least you have the right attitude if you should need to . Better to just go with the flow than to work yourself into a panic! I have witnessed some adults in the parks who had meltdowns because things apparently weren't going according to their plan. Believe me, not a pretty site!

No problem at all. I'm always on these boards. We booked Mickey and Friends one day, Minnies breakfast one day, goofys one day, and Ariel for lunch but we are going to change that to dinner for the WOC, then dinner at the DLH ballroom for Thanksgiving. I honestly have no idea how crowds will be this year but the hotels still all have tons f rooms available......hopefully that is a good sign. The 2.5 year old with WOC may make you a bit tired. I havent seen WOC yet but I hear the crowds are awful.....I always have my LGMH on my lanyard and a knee brace on so im easy to pick out.

Oooooh availability at the hotels! Maybe that IS a good sign that the crowd levels won't be crazy. We can hope!

We're checking in the 18th of November - November 20th. Staying at the Grand and I can't wait to get my picture with Santa with my bestie and my niece!

So far, we have the Holiday Tour on the 18th at 3 pm, and WOC PD at WCT at 8:30 on Friday the 19th for the 10:15 showing.

I want to get Aladdin in there sometime for sure, and a Monte Cristo, that's at Cafe Orleans as well as BB, isn't it?

Glad you found us! I got your trip added to the list! You are going to love your Santa pics! Disneyland has the best Santa! We will be doing WCT for the WOC on the 19th too but for the 9:00 show. I hope we picked a good night! Yes, they have Monte Cristos at Cafe Orleans too. I actually prefer their 3 cheese version to BB's which has the ham. You really can't go wrong with either one though.

We love RFC. It is pricey but vacation is the only time we ever go so we just bite the bullet on the cost. When we were in WDW last year the RFC was the very best meal we had during our whole 2 week trip.

Don't be discouraged! Those weathermen don't always get it right. We've been going during fall for the past 8 years and the weather is usually very nice. At the very least it won't even come close to the one year when we went in September. It got up to 107! We just thought we were escaping the Texas heat! Thankfully, the park has plenty of shade and air conditioned buildings so even that wasn't unbearable. Anyway, just don't pack up your parka and you will be fine!

We have been when it was cold and the next time pretty warm. I have found that it is much easier to pack for warm weather and throw in a few longer sleeved items or a jacket for layering if needed. I think even "scorching" in the park isn't so bad.... but then could that be because I am used to hot weather?
