Hi Everyone,
We just switched this cruise over today and can't wait! This will be our12th Disney Cruise but 1st time going to Costa MayaWe are from SW Wisconsin. We would like to added to the Fish Extenders as well.
We have played this on previous cruises and really had a great time. The kids love checking to see if they have "mail."
Joining us are (ages at time of sailing) me, Vicki (43), DH Marty (46) DD Adriane (15) DS Zachary (11) DD Stephanie (9) Isaac (6) Vincent (3) and Elias (1). We are in connecting rooms 2530 and 2532. I've been looking through the thread pages and this looks like it will be a fun cruise!
My 14 year old daughter will be starting a kids/teen thread soon and when she does, I will post a link onto here in case any of you are interested as I see there are a lot of kids on here.
Looking forward to chatting with all of you!
Vicki
My DH and I will be on this cruise! we booked it on our 2011 cruise, but are finally convinced that we are going to keep it, so now I can get excited!
This will be our 9th cruise with Disney, but our first on the Fantasy! We can't wait!!
Just two of us in our Stateroom
DH: Brendon

to all the new members!!! Looking forward to getting to know you over the next several months and then meeting you in November!!
Here is the kids/teens thread my daughter has made:

I saw in one post about how you all were thinking about going on excursions together. I thought of a great place in case any of you are interested. On our last Western, at Cozumel, we went to Nachi Cocum, a reservation-required family beach. We had a great time, and the whole beach was reserved by DIS-board people(They only allow 100 people at a time) and we even put on a pirate scavenger hunt for the younger kids. We are planning on going.
Can't wait for this cruise- 9 more months!
Vicki

We would be interested in Nachi Cocum. It would be more fun with a large group!
Hi Vicki,
This will be the 8th Disney Cruise for DH and I but only the 2nd cruise for our four daughters. We took them on their first cruise (3-day Bahama Cruise in November of 2011) and they loved it so much we booked this longer one for them. We usually take the girls to DisneyWorld but I think after this 7-Day Cruise we will be alternating between trips to DisneyWorld and Disney Cruises since I am sure they will love this longer one even more than the 3-Day one. My oldest Daughter (Emily) would love to chat on the DISBoards with your Daughter (Adriane). Emily will be two weeks away from her 15th birthday when we are on the cruise so they are practically the same age. She is very interested to chat with her and get her perspective on cruising since your daughter has been on so many more cruises compared to her. They are both old enough to get into the Teen Club on the Cruise and it would be great if my daughter already had a buddy to hang out with. Emily will post on your daughter's thread tonight after school. Also, one of my other daughters (Sarah) will be 10 on the cruise and it would be great if she could find a buddy to hang out with in the younger kid clubs. Sarah is not old enough to get into the Tween Club where her two older sisters (Abby and Catherine) will be hanging out. Perhaps your daughter (Stephanie) and her can meet up on the first day and we can introduce them. Sarah has mentioned being a little hesitant about doing activities in the younger kids clubs because she won't know anyone and I don't want her to miss out on all the great activities that they offer in the clubs. Plus, Mom and Dad would love a little "Kid Free" timeOn the 3-Day cruise we took them on, we had so many family activities planned and the cruise was so short that none of my girls did anything in any of the kid clubs at all. This cruise, I hope they enjoy having alot of time to get involved in activites. This will be our first time participating in the Fish Extender and my girls are so excited about this. They have all volunteered to help me deliver all the gifts.
Looking forward to meeting you and everyone else on the cruise.
Pam

The Postcard exchange would be interesting. How do you distribute your cards? A Sail Away Meet would be good as well..
Looking forward to a good calm cruise. No more Sandys

It's official!!! DH Norm(46), Me Kim(45), DS Josh(18), DD Marissa(26), FIL Norm(70s), MIL Liz(70s) will be sailing with ya'll!!! We hail from Connecticut and are season DCL guests. Inlaws are DVC members. It's been over 4 years since my last confession, I mean our last cruise. We'll be on Deck 5, slumming it.
I'm not sure if I'm most excited about Mickey Bars, Chocolate on my pillow every night, running the Castaway Cay 5K or just sailing with my family on DCL again. Oh, and can I say I can't wait to see the Fantasy??!!!
During this cruise we celebrate Norm & Liz and 50 years of marriage and Josh graduating from Auto Mechanic school!!

We had to change rooms since we will be bringing a 5 month old baby with us onboard!! We are now in rooms 9020 and 9021. Thanks!!
Those sound like fun! What are a candy and post card exchange? Something you do on the ship or beforehand? We have done cabin tours, meets, lanyards, t-shirts and excursions and have enjoyed them.

We just booked this week! We are DVC members, family of 5. Myself DH, Pete and my DW Kerry, DS Daniel (15), DD Holly(9) and DD Keira (7)and yes we picked her name because of "Keira" Knightly spelling of the name! Hard core Disney family. Starting with our Honeymoon almost 16 years ago, next month! We own at Wilderness, Saratoga and Bay Lake. (1 for each child). We are traveling with another super hard core mouse fan Gina and her BFF! We have all cruised numerous times! we are total excited beyond belief!
I have 2 questions for the group:
1. In Cozumel there is a company that books excursions.
Here is the link, http://www.cozumel-tours.com/
The prices are much cheaper then booking through DCL. We have done the Mr. Sancho's Beach Day before and loved it. We DIDN'T use this company to book it however. We used DCL. DCL doesn't offer Mr. Sancho's anymore. Anybody ever use this company or any other like it? We have done cash deals when we arrive but, I am not a big fan of being stabbed or abducted.
2. Do the kids have a place on here for them to get to know one another before we cruise? It sounds like a nice idea in a perfect world but, Like previously stated, I am not a fan of stabbing and abduction from an internet wacko.
