Thanks for the info, I wouldn't have known otherwise....look forward to meeting everyone in FL
I haven't seen that particular mnemonic before, but I'm guessing it stands for Lime Green Mickey Head.

Got Red, White and Blue Mickey heads to ehlp with the door sign.

Has anyone ever on this thread ever cruised in bad weather? I'm new to cruising and would love to know what my family and I should expect. Will the captain re-route the ship to better weather or will we just have to brave the storm?

First of all, dont put too much stock in the weather forecast. Many times the thunderstorms come and go within an hours time. When I sailed the Wonder in July we got to Nassau and out of the blue a storm blew in and there was a deluge for nearly an hour (I was standing in one of the alleys watching the water rise up to the door sills of the shops along the street) and an hour after that the rain was gone, the clouds were gone, the water along the street had drained away and it was back to normal.

On short cruises like this there isnt a whole lot the captain can do. Ive heard that some cruises have reversed the order of the ports to get better weather, but with only two ports of call in close proximity to each other, that might not be very effective. Again, on the July cruise after leaving Nassau on the way to Castaway Cay there were local squalls popping up along the route. The captain sailed out a bit and found a calm area so we could all enjoy the Pirates IN the Caribbean party and the fireworks. Rest assured, the captain will do everything he can to get us into clear weather, but sometimes it cant be done in the time and space available. In those cases, put a smile on your face and soak up some liquid sunshine!
If it starts raining when Im trying to enjoy a beach day, I just head into the ocean. Then it doesnt matter how much it rains Im wet anyway. It can put a damper on things (no pun intended), but its not worth stressing about. Also, its cool to sit on the balcony or up on Deck 10 at night and watch the lightning in the distance as you sail along.
Heres hoping for some pixie dustfor the cruise to ward off any major thunderstorms!
