Quick ? guys does DCL have an autograph book that is different than WDW?

And what time to the kick us off the ship the last day? Trying to rent a car.

Not sure about the autograph book. It might be worth asking that on the regular cruise forum because more recent cruisers would be on there.

The ship generally clears customs and lets you start to get off around 7:30 or 8:00. The latest they will clear customs is 9am. If you have early dining, your breakfast time will be 6:30am. I'd say 8am for your car rental is a safe time. That is what we are doing. That way if you are a little later you are okay, but sometimes there are problems if you are earlier than you say on the reservation.

Hello Dis Family

I have some great news...even though I feel bad talking about it when so many are having troubles right now. Tim had to have surgery to have his thyroid removed last week actually one week from today. We were told he had five thyroid nodules that were thought cancer. So they removed his total thyroid. The doctor is a good friend of mine from work called us at home last night to let us know Tim is in the clear. No cancer and no chemo or radiation. So We are so excited and doing the . I really didnt tell everyone what was going on bc we really werent sure ourselves.

Hope everyone feels better and has a better day.

Traci- we cruised in May, and think we remember a DCL autograph book.

To all of those with thyroid issues, I feel a lot better going for a second opinion. Now that I know it's more common, I can stress less! Hope all of you are happy and healthy!

I agree, the docs are a bit of a letdown, but it's still a sign that the cruise is getting very close!

Kathy, I'll be thinking of you and your mom. It must be impossibly tough to go through that.

Vickie, my DS used to get sties in his eyes quite a bit and apparently all that can be done is to put warm compresses on them to try to draw out the stuff inside of them. He had one get infected once, but usually they went away with the warm compresses in a week or so.

Traci - glad to hear the great news about Tim. What a relief that must be for both of you!

I have no exciting news to report, just working like crazy at the office to try to get things done before my vacation and working like crazy at home getting things ready. Same as all of you I'm sure...

Oh yes. I have been keeping it for almost a yr now but have to admit at 22 days left it is getting kinda hard. I ordered a birthday mickey from disney today that is wrapped up and packaged up in b-day stuff and I put on the tag that says Happy 10th b-day Nathan enjoy the cruise. He will be confused when he reads that. My plan is after he reads that I will have the banner outside by our limo to take us to the airport that says surprise were going on a disney cruise. I had a banner specially made up...I am soooo excited. I plan on having the camcorder rolling for the whole experience to look back on.

Vickie- yikes about the tooth! I hope it doesn't hurt too much. At least there's time to get it fixed. I've never had a sty either, but DS got one last year. Like others said, I just did warm compresses a couple times a day and it went away pretty quickly.

Tracy- what great news!!! Of course you should celebrate!! I can't wait to meet y'all and I'd be happy to have a fruity drink too! Such great news, a terrific way to start off your married life.

Well, it was cool and rainy earlier in the week which was most welcome!! But now it's 90 and hot again. Yuck. Yesterday I had the heater on in my classroom and today we needed the a/c.

We couldn't get tickets to the DCA Halloween party. The website showed availability, but when you tried to put the tickets in your cart, it popped up "sold out". So we were all a little disappointed. But you know how screwy the Disney websites are. Why they can't manage to find good IT folks, I'll never know. I'm going to try to head to DLR anyway this weekend- I want to try Ghost Galaxy so bad!! But if nothing else...in 22 days we see The Mouse!!

Today is Dimples bearthday. She turns 5 for the 4th time. I bought her a cake this morning on the way home from the pool. She hasn't had one since she turned 5 for the first time. She says to tell you "Celebearate! EAT CAKE!"

Scrappers, you can see my workspace. IT doesn't ALWAYS look like that - sometimes, it's even WORSE!

Happy friday everyone,

Linda I love Dimples birthday photo. She shares her birthday with my oldest son. He is 34 today.

Today is cool and another storm is coming late this evening.

Later this afternoon we are headed out of town for the weekend. We will be staying in the RV so I will have internet which will be nice. Its very slwo there but at least I can keep up with everyone.

Greg will be remodeling his moms place this weekend. Tomorrow I have 4 hours to shop while the dogs are at the dog sitters house. YEAH!! That should be fun. I have a few things I want to buy for this trip and time if flying by so I need to get that done this weekend.

Hannah--I sent you an email with wristband info.

I'm hoping to work on my FEs this weekend. We'll see if that will happen. If not, I'll have more time after my stamp class on Tuesday night. DD has switched back to being a night owl. When we went back east last month, she got used to Eastern time so she was going to bed by 9am our time. Now she is back to 10 or 11 our time. Hope that doesn't mean she wants to be up until 12 or 1 on the cruise. Anyway, since she goes to bed late, that doesn't give me time to work on stuff at night.

Wow, THREE weeks from tomorrow!

Had a Girls' Day Out with "AllThingsDisneyLover" (Ashley) and "DJDJ" (Denise). We did a little consignment store shopping (for the cruise) and a birthday celebration lunch for Denise.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I have a family visitor coming in from Boston, so won't have any cruise prep time this weekend.

Hi Everybody!

We leave 3 weeks from today!!

I have been super busy at work for the past few weeks and haven't had any time to check in with you'all. My Mom (bjkjoy) has been giving me regular updates of how everybody is doing and what they are working on. It sounds like many of you have had bouts with illness, some pretty serious. It was great to hear about the weddings and the good news from the biopsy report! It also sounds like everyone got their room assignments and cruise docs.

My Mom finished the FE gifts for the adults yesterday. Hannah, Samantha and I have been working on the kids gifts and we pretty much finished them up last weekend. I am hosting a family birthday party at my house to celebrate both girls birthdays tomorrow. Hannah's birthday was on the 14th and Samantha's on the 22nd. On Sunday, my Mom and I plan to seriously begin thinking about what to pack. I am afraid we are looking at at least three big pieces of luggage plus carryons.

I have a question....What is one thing you need to do before the cruise that you might forget? I thought if we started a list, we could help each other make sure all the bases are covered.

I will start. I need to make sure to stop delivery of the daily newspaper. What else?

Good idea Donna. Stop the mail. We also always turn our water off so we don't come home to Lake Lindamood in our basement.
