OMG, you are all going to laugh at this one. :lmao: I was just rereading Gail's post and where she says "keep your carryons", I was absolutely positive that it said "keep your crayons". I am so lost in kid world, keeping my crayons made perfect sense. :rotfl2: I will be keeping both crayons and carryons. :rotfl:

Well, that IS what I said :rotfl:. Isn't it funny how you can look at a word and see something else.

I was actually really glad to hear from you, my DD continually asks about the other little girls in our group, she is 6 and will be almost 7 when we sail, so she was very excited to see that you have a DD age 7 on the cruise mates list.

Great! We will have to make sure that they get introduced at the Meet. My DD7 was also looking through the pictures in the Cruise Mate list that was sent out, looking for kids who will be in the club with her.

We also have a 7-year-old DD (and are also from the Chicago area -- Bolingbrook, to be exact). Our DD always manages to make 'best friends' on the cruise the first day, so it will be great for her to know there are already some ready-to-be-made friends.

(I put 'best friends' in quotations because on our last cruise, she was telling us at dinner about her best friend being on the cruise and we were asking who and she said 'Kimberly' and we asked how she knew her and she said 'we met in the club this afternoon' -- and they were already 'best friends')

Howdy all,
Just got back and I am exhausted. Trying to sleep with a 66 pound dog laying across you lap while sitting in a recliner isnt the best way to sleep. please dont ask how we got such crazy accomodations, it was just one of those weekends! UGH!

It IS a small world after all...we are in Plainfield! We're practically neighbors!

Good morning everyone,

less than 2 months to go!!:cool1:

We were discussing door signs this morning before Greg went to work. I wish our door was 10 feet wider to hold all the ideas we have;)

I also decided on what to do for the kids for the FE exchange.
Now I have a good idea for the adults if i can find one item i need to make them. I need to do a trial run to make sure it looks like I think it will.:goodvibes

I feel more rested today, but I could of slept another couple of hours today.
Even the dogs are sleeping in.
Who has a question for the day today??

You have come up with some great ones over the weekend, so lets have another one for today.

I will check back at my lunch time to see of any question has been posted yet.

Okay, question of the day time again...

What is your favorite food/treat at WDW and/or on DCL?
(I know some of you are first time cruisers, so this will be fun for you to see some of the yummy things to look forward to).

My favorite treat at WDW is a Dole Pineapple Float.
My favorite treat on DCL would have to be the Chocolate Souffle at Palo or the Chocolate Lava Cake (on lobster night in the dining room).

Since we've had some newcomers, I'm posting this again to get their attention...

WRISTBANDS

The pricing on the wristbands is going to depend on how many we order. My guess is that the final price will be between $2.50-$3 per wristband (which includes the wristband, paypal fees, and shipping to you). When I have an approximate count, I'll let you know the exact price and then request payment at that time. I could try to figure out the price per wristband and then add on a certain amount per order for the shipping and paypal fees if you prefer.

There are 3 sizes available:
Large 8-3/8"
Medium 7-3/8"
Small (Child)-5-7/8"
I have found that Medium is great for youth and also for a lot of women. I prefer to have my wristband stay on so I get the Medium as the large would fall off easily. Since I just have a 1 year old right now, I have no idea what age would be a Medium vs a Child size, so you may want to measure around wrists to figure out sizes. We can get any quantity of any size and it doesn't affect the price, so just let me know what is best for you.

I will order the wristbands around the end of September and should get them by mid-October. Then I will send them out to each of you mid-October so that you have it before the cruise. It is fun to be able to identify people in the parks or at the airport or in the cruise terminal that are part of our group.

I have a 25 character maximum on the text, so I was thinking...
11.7.09 Ahoy! St. Croix!
Oh, and they are the debossed lime green silicone wristbands in case anyone didn't know.

If you know what sizes and how many you want, let me know and I'll keep a list on our thread. If you are cruising with friends or family, if you can combine the order and have just one person gather the $ and let me ship to one person, that would save time and postage. If you aren't sure on sizes yet but know the quantity, let me know that just so I can start to figure out the pricing. We get a price break at 50-99 and another at 100+.

Here's what I have so far for wristbands...
Linda 2 (1L, 1M)
Laurie 4 (1L, 1M, 2S)
Traci 3 (2L, 1M)
Kathy 2 (1L, 1M)
Shauna 3 (1L, 1M, 1S)
Gail 2 (2L)
Scott 7 (3L, 3M, 1S)
Christine 4 (1L, 2M, 1S)
Krista 12 (2L, 7M, 3S)
Vickie 3 (2L, 1M)
Kim 3 (2M, 1S)

At WDW my family has 2 favorites. Turkey legs and Mickey bars:goodvibes

On the ship thats tough, probably the Porterhouse steak. My DH gets that alot. Since our desserts have to be sugar free I will say the chocolate cream puffs in the buffet.

My fav at WDW is the bread pudding at Ohana. We also love the food there. Its good.

At DCL as this is our first cruise so I am not sure but want to try the Chocolate Souffle at palo.

Mickey bars - either place actually. Just love them and order them every night at dinner (minus the sprinkles of course). I get them from room service as well. I guess the chocolate souffle in Palo is my second favorite. Do you all detect a theme here? Love my chocolate.

Favorite food at WDW? Gotta be the No Way Jose sundae at Beaches and Cream. YUMMY!!
On the ship? I love any kind of creme brulee, and Mickey Bars. We order them every night from room service.

My goodness I'm off the computer for two days and I'm behind by three pages!

Welcome to all our newcomers!!!! :grouphug:

To catch up on the "Questions of the Day":

Favorite ride at WDW: Tower of Terror (closest I'll ever get to weightlessness)

Favorite place at Epcot: The restaurant in China (went there for my 15th birthday with my parents and grandparents)

Favorite WDW snack: cinnamon almonds

Favorite DCL food: Chocolate souffle at Palo and every other dessert served at all the meals (I don't just have "a" sweet tooth, they're all sweet teeth)

Hope everyone has a great week!

So I got to thinking today after the question of the day...I called and booked a pirate room at CBR for the night before the cruise and also booked Ohana dinner for that night. It really made me think that we can't go to disney and not eat there:confused3. And it felt weird to go and not stay at a disney hotel.:confused3

So thanks Shauna for the question of the day. I am excited and so will Nathan.:woohoo::woohoo:

I can not wait to hear about all of Nathan's reactions to everything. I give you a lot of credit - I could not keep my mouth shut I don't think.

How fun! Please be sure to write up a trip report so we can hear about Nathan's reactions to everything. The first time I stayed on property was at CBR and that is the trip that we ate at Ohana--must be a good combination. I love their honey lime dressing on the salad--I've actually made some and it is pretty good. I liked this question because it gives me ideas of things to be sure and eat on our vacation. I'm such a foodie when it comes to Disney. Now I need to decide what to eat during our post-cruise stay in WDW. There are so many nights at home when DH and I are discussing what to have for dinner and I always say "You know what sounds good?" and then I reply with things like "a Monte Cristo from DL" or "anything from DCL" and I make him nuts. I'm so excited to not have to worry about cooking dinner.

Okay, question of the day.....

What is your favorite ride at WDW?

Okay if I have to pick a WDW ride it would be Mission Space!! Followed closely by Mickey's Philharmagic. Can't get enough of either one!!

But what about favorite Disneyland rides? Anyone besides Shauna and I DL vets?

At DL my very favorite is Space Mountain. In fact, it's so much better than WDW's we don't even bother to ride it in WDW anymore. :rotfl: Oh!! And California Screamin'!!!!! The best Disney coaster ever. I finally got DS on it last month and now he is hooked!!! If I could only get DH on it....:rolleyes1 He doesn't "do" upside down rides.

Can you tell I love Disney coasters?!:cool1:

Well, to be honest, my favorite DL ride is also Splash Mountian--I actually like it better at DL. I also love DL's Space Mountain and California Screamin' and I agree that it is the best coaster! The Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes are also one of my favorites, don't know why, but there is just something about actually having to do a little work to get around the Rivers of America (they are also not very crowded and underrated in my opinion.
