November 5th-8th

So I have planned a trip for November 5-8th. I have a few questions about this time.

Are the parks busy this time of year? Whats the weather like? Will there be any parades or fireworks? Are the christmas decorations up yet?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

They are filming the Christmas parade for ABC that weekend so it will be busy. There will be parades all days and fireworks on the weekend. Christmas decor will start going up that week.

We visit DL this time every year. We are from Texas so the weather is "cool" for us. We generally wear jeans and tshirts during the day and use a light coat at night. It is too cool for us to wear shorts during the day but we see lots of people wearing them.

You may want to check exactly which parade will be performed daily. They are filming the Christmas parade, however I didn't think it is being performed daily. It may be the "standard" parade, which I'm not trying to knock, just don't count on daily performances of the Christmas parade.

Don't worry that it says "parades-none scheduled at this time". That's just standard for more than about 2-3 weeks out. I'm actually surprised that park hours are even listed.

No it wasn't what I would consider "busy". But we didn't go last year at the parade filming either. My friend was there and she said it was busy during the filming time but seemed to break up afterwards. The parade will either be filmed on Nov 7 or 8 - the date hasn't been confirmed yet and I've heard that one of the main performers is supposed to be Miley Cyrus but that hasn't been confirmed either. They run the parade a few times with the show stops over and over to get all the filming...its not like a regular parade where they run it once down the street. So Saturday and Sunday have the potential to be busier than normal, but alot of those folks hang out at the parade and the rides are not as busy. We will be doing the parade thing as my daughter loves Miley Cyrus.

Normally during this time of year I still follow my normal routine of collecting FP during the day and then using them at night when more people are there. This works well for us and we can usually ride quite a few things at night. Last year in November we rode HM quite a few times as the lines were not long and IASW actually opened early while we were there-that was a nice surprise.
