November 5th 2011 Eastern on the Magic

Happy Friday all:yay::yay:

I can't believe 4 weeks today we will be getting ready to sail the Magic again, it has been a long year!!

I have not booked an excursions yet, yes I know I should really start working on that!

I have a friend at work who kindly offered to make me a FE:) Now I just need to work on gifts to fill everyone elses:thumbsup2

It is also cold here, but were are supposed to get in the 80's for a few days:yay: It is so cold taking my daughter the bus stop at 6:45am!

Have a good day

Claire

Happy friday,

This week has really gone by fast. Hopefully tomorrow I can get to a store with some material so I can get a quick FE made since mine is packed and I dont know where?? I dont have the ambition to look through all my stored boxes right now. Its easier to make another one.

Cold here too. In the low 40's this morning.
Can't wait to get to nice warm Florida:goodvibes Of course last year we went in December to see all the Christmas decorations and we froze!!! So we hope going a bit early this year in hopes of nicer weather. The islands are always warm, so no worries there.:goodvibes

Back later,
Kathy

Do we have a question of the day yet? I dont think I saw one.popcorn::

I will check back in a couple hours to see if we have one, if not I will try to think of one. But I am hoping someone else will have one. All of you have had such great ones. I look forward everyday to see what the question will be today.:)

I am only a late poster because I hate going to bed before midnight.

Although last night I went to bed early so I could wake up at 3am to order the new iPhone 4S. Because I am a giant nerd.

Question of the day: What is your favorite Disney entree? Or for those of us who have never sailed Disney: What is your favorite food in general?

Great question BT.

For my entire family I would say any food we dont get at home. Like duck or veal, talipia. Anything new is great.

3 a.m. to order a phone :rolleyes1
Guess we better add one more description to our list to describe our fellow crusiers. Who is the biggest nerd for anything electronic:rotfl2:

If you asked my kids, the answer would be chicken nuggets - my son went on a trip with his grandma and basically lived on a diet of chicken nuggets. I like the variety and cannot wait to see what choices they offer. And of course desserts and having food available ALL the time...I am just worried about trying to watch myself so I don't gain much weight on this cruise. I want to have fun and indulge, but, it would stink to gain back when it's so hard to lose it in the first place!!

After each meal take a quick walk around deck 4.:goodvibes As sson as we get out of our dinner clothes we try to take a walk around 4, 9 and 10.
Sometimes we have an event to go to but we still manage to get our walks in. Its fun, a great view and fresh air.

BT,

I have friends just like you.... :) Not sure, though, if you are like this, but I have friends who will stand/camp out in line outside in the cold winter all night in front of a store because the store is releasing the newest and coolest electronic gadget, and they want to be the first ones at that store to buy it. So, I get it (from what some of my friends say). :)

Hope you enjoy the new Iphone!! I hear it's great... and consider it a great tribute to Steve Jobs, may he Rest in Peace. :littleangel:

We are a Windows Phone family.... so, no Iphones here... in fact, no Apple products at all in our house... we are a Microsoft product family, since DH works for Microsoft.

Ok, for my answer to the question of the day.... food... yum!

Favorite Disney Entree.... well, I always order the Tenderloin when that is an option on the dinner menu. I love a really good Beef Tenderloin. Also, this probably sounds totally contradictory, but I also love a lot of the vegetarian entrees they offer! I'm definitely not a vegetrian (I love meat too much), but I do love vegetarian meals also. I don't know what it is called, but there is this one vegetarian entree where it's almost like a vegetable souflee wrapped in phylo dough, and I really really love it... I have ordered this every time I have cruised (it has been on the menu at least once with each cruise we've been on). My DH just thinks that is gross (he's not much of a vegetable person), but I love it!

And, I LOVE fish (growing up in Alaska, I pretty much grew up only eating fish), so I would say about 75% of the time, I order a fish entree on the menu... they almost always have a fish option, and they are all tasty!

Oh, and the chocolate souflee at Palo... to DIE for!

So, that is my long answer to your short "food" question... but I love food too much to just give a short answer. :thumbsup2

Oh, and I'm like Kathy (gma), I almost always go for a walk around deck 4 after dinner.... I LOVE food, but I don't like the feeling of being really full, so if I end up eating too much, I just go for a walk around deck 4 and I feel better. So, you'll probably find me doing the same thing after dinner at some point. ;)

Hmmm... It would have to be the gnocchi in white wine sauce that come with the turdot at Remy (I know, wrong ship, but it is absolutely the most incredible thing I have eaten EVER!:love::love:). Anything cheesy: the cheese souffle at Lumiere's/Royal Palace/Triton's and the cheese tray from room service come to mind quickly.

My bonus answer is for Disney World - the grilled platter for two at La Hacienda de San Angel is great! (and this is coming from a Texan who normally won't eat Mexican food at WDW because it's too bland).

My anniversary gift shipped!! 3-5 business days and they will be here!! Here is hoping the post office does its job.

Happy Friday!!
Ah FOOD!!! Well we are steak people... Looking for a good steak!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, we will be eatting TURKEY!!! It is our Thanksgiving so I won't be on the computer till the hoilday Monday when I am home. My mom is looking at getting the Iphone! But the moment she gets it I can hear it now "Jenny how do I get the numbers to show up?....Jenny How do I...." It will be funny.

But as for food I love the pretty much any dessert! Hehe dessert after every meal!!! Mmm so good!!! All I need to do now is find my streachy pant and I am good to go!;)

I have always believed you should have dessert first, just in case you get too full on the main foods.:goodvibes

Don't miss the late night dessert buffet. :worship::worship::worship:
If your not hungry you can fill your plate and take it back to your room too. Its an awesome layout.

Hey I do the same thing about my laptop with my son. I am always asking how to do something. I figured I paid for his college, raised him, gave birth to him, so the least he can do is help me with all these new fangled doo dads.

We have some of the best dinners at my vegetarian friend's house! Her husband does amazing things with portobello mushrooms. I've been looking at some of the menus and the vegetarian offerings look wonderful. And we also love seafood (living near the Maryland shore). I'm really looking forward to dinner at Palo. Kathy recommends the chocolate souflee-any other suggestions from repeat cruisers? :)

Just found out that DD fiancee cannot make the trip. He is a foreman on one of the new fantasy land projects and has a turnover date to Disney of 11/1. They are a "little" behind schedule and he needs to stay with the project.

However DD had no problem with co-workers who were willing to replace him. We booked their room with DVC points so there was no cost to them.

Replying to a question of the day several days ago - When did we get hooked on Disney - 1993 when we were at WDW and bought DVC points. Our DD (age 3) saw the people dancing on Cindy's stage and said that when she grew up that is what she wanted to do. Dreams do come true.

Welp, my visa is successfully melted and I'm not even on the trip yet. All the cruise accessories that we needed. Shoes, contacts, glasses, snacks, etc...

My wife has been wanting a new Iphone for the last year. We have 3GS phones and the batteries are not what they used to be. I think it has more to do with OS 4 which allows multi tasking. I have been delaying so we get the most out of our phones. I now told her to wait till after the cruise in case something goes wrong. FYI St Thomas, and St. John are considered part of the AT&T nationwide voice\data network. So make all your call on Wed.

:confused3 I stopped wearing a watch because I started using my phone, and it was considered unsafe at work. I don't know what I will do if we leave it on the ship...
