November 5th 2011 Eastern on the Magic

Kathy,
we fly out of PDX in Portland. Eugene is closer but they cost about double so we go into Portland. We spend the night at a hotel close to PDX both coming and going so we arnt worn out just getting there.;)

Sandy, got your 750 post prediction all recorded.:thumbsup2

The Northwest is beautiful with mountains, deserts and beaches. We have it all. Even an active volcano. Mt. St. Helens. I watched her erupt from my kids swingset. I climbed to the top of the slide for the best view.

Matt,
great to know your name. When I saw your posting name about the silver bullet I thought immediately about Werewolves.:lmao:
I also have 4 kids but mine are grown now They must keep you busy. I'm sure they will have a blast on the cruise.

I have added you to the Cruise mates list. Once you decide about the FE let me know. Also we have alist of all the kids and their ages so hopefully the parents can help them find a friend to get aquianted with before the cruise, via e-mail or PM here on the boards.
If its ok I would like to list your kid son that list too.

These lists only go to the people on them. I never post them on the boards for privacy. On the kids list some parents have included their e-mail address for ease of contacting each other. If you want that too, please let me know.
my e-mail is sixtoedfrog@yahoo.com . You dont have enough posts to PM anybody yet. If you have questions about the FE feel free to ask on this thread or e-mail me and I will be happy to help you.
Its really quite simple, easy and meant to be inexpensive. Just another fun aspect of the cruise.:goodvibes

Had a hectic 2 days and didn't get to post anything. My work laptop had some tech issues and I just fixed it tonight. I was so tired of computers that I didn't sign on to my home PC until now. I took DS to the dentist this morning - no cavities yeah! -- but it is an ordeal with painting the flouride on. He just hates that. Did great other than that. We have some family plans this weekend and if it rains, plan to watch Mary Poppins with DS for the 1st time. Anybody doing anything Disney-related this weekend?

We also tonight just decided to exchange our inside room for an Oceanview! :dance3: It is Sept and we're getting closer to our trip date -- 2 months from tomorrow we fly to Orlando. I am hoping and praying all the hurricanes exhaust now and we have smooth sailing and beautiful weather for our trip.

I keep meaning to ask, do we have a planned meet and great for the people posting on this board on the 1st day of the cruise? We'll be wearing our specialized t-shirts (Scott posted image a while back) so you can spot us but I wondered if we planned to meet for a hello drink or something?

Hope everyone has a great night. We're finally getting a tiny bit of rain tonight in NC.

Hi Karen,
On the cruise mates list I sent out there is information about a meet the first day in the Promenade lounge at 3 p.m. I will be sending out a revised list and FE list in the next few days. Be sure and read through all of it and you will see the meet information.
Thisis a family lounge so all are welcome and there is a bar if anyone wants to get a drink at the same time. I have been to many meets there and it worked great. Plenty of tables and chairs there too.:goodvibes

I've finally finished making my door magnets. I have placed them on our metal door that we exit our house from everyday. I think I like them better than the kids. Laminating and adding the magnetic "tape" worked wonderfully. :thumbsup2 Bought some FE gifts this week and ordered my FE tonight. I was able to order from someone in my own state - yeah - Go Heels. :cheer2: Believe it or not, I had to sign up for ebay for the first time to order it. By the way, non Disers think all this is nuts. Oh well, I think a lot of people don't understand Disney fans in general. There are "Trekies" out there as Star Trek fans, so what are we? By we, I mean Disney fans, not just boarders.

Your right people just shake their heads at us ;) They are the ones who are loosing out on all the fun. I am proud to admit I am a Disney kid at heart and will be as long as I live:love:

Sounds like your zipping right along getting ready for the cruise. I still havnt even decided what I am going to use for my magnetic signs. But i like being busy at the end of my countdown for small things. It helps time to go by faster if I have a few fun projects to do just before vacation.:goodvibes

Hi All,

Just saying good night! I went out to dinner tonight with one of my closest friends and had a great time!! :) Nothing like getting out for a few hours in the evening with a good friend! :)

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe it is September 1st!! November 5th will be here before we know it!

Anybody doing anything Disney-related this weekend?

Congrats on the upgrade. I've been in an oceanview room before, and they are really nice! You'll love it!! Do you know if you have the big porthole window or the two small ones?

No, not doing anything Disney this weekend (nothing much Disney related things here in Washington State) but would love to be doing something Disney related if I could!! :) November will be here before we know it!

Enjoy your weekend!

Kathy

Happy friday everyone,
I can't believe the weekend is here already.:goodvibes The weeks are flying by now that I have great people to chat with.

Kathy, our weather is warming up again. After today we will be 90+ for the next several days but windy today. Hope you are warming up again too.:dogdance:

If anyone else has any information to send to me, please do it as soon as you can so I can get the revised list sent out to everyone soon. I am waiting a bit in case anyone else wants to contact me with information.:cool1:

I will be back soon to see who has posted this morning,

Kathy

Wait its Labor Day already, it can't be summer just started!

This weekend we are going to celebrate DD 11th birthday :bday:

It is supposed to be a nice weekend, so maybe a day at the pool before that closes for the season:sad2:

Then i guess we will be getting the last few things for the kids to start school on Tuesday:scared1:

Tell Emma Happy Birthday from us

party: :bday: party:

2 more years and you will have a teenager!!

You will have to change your signature!!

Kathy

Good morning, everyone!! (Well, I guess afternoon for those of you on the east coast! :) ).

Kathy, our weather hasn't warmed yet... it's cold and overcast this morning, but according to the weather forcast, it's supposed to be sunny and mid-70's by this afternoon, and totally sunny and 80's over the weekend, so we'll see!!! Enjoy your 90 degree temps! I love hot weather, BUT I don't like it here at home because nobody has AC in Seattle (stores have it, but houses don't), and so when it gets in the 90's, it's actually just miserable because there is no place to go to escape the heat, unless I'm in my car and turn the AC on, or I go to the store. We do have a portable AC, but that really only cools one room of our house. BUT, I'll take 90 degree temps on our cruise!!!! :cool1:

Well, I have no idea what is up, but I know my DH has something planned... it may be just something planned only for today or for the Labor Day Weekend. I have no idea, but he told me this morning that he is getting off work at 2 PM and wants to take us down near the airport because he has to drop something off down there, and then we'll just go and eat an early dinner down by the airport (the airport is 40 min from our house). I would be shocked if we are actually flying somewhere, but I'm wondering if he booked a hotel in that area (because our kids LOVE to watch the airplanes take off at the airport, and there is lots of things to do around the airport), and we are doing a little "stay-cation". We do that a few times a year... "stay-cations" where we book a local hotel and just "get away" for a weekend.

Who knows... but I just sense something is up! I could be SO wrong, and it might be he is just getting off work early and just going to eat down by the airport. Regardless... it doesn't matter because I'm just happy he is getting off work early and then has a 3-day weekend. :) YAY!!

This weekend we are going to celebrate DD 11th birthday :bday:

school on Tuesday:scared1:

Happy Birthday to Emma!!!! :dance3: :cheer2: How fun!! My oldest son, Tyler, will be 11 in November (Nov 3, just a couple days before our cruise). So weird to think I'll officially have a "tween".... I think that is what they call 11 - 12 year olds, right? I am not ready to think about having teenagers, though! I still have 2 years to wrap my head around that one. :)

Have a great weekend celebrating her birthday!!!

Well, I hope everyone is doing well!! I'll check back here on the boards later.

Thats awsome that the door magnets work, I am going to do that as well. Meant to start them but haven't yet :(

Hope you just enjoy your weekend whatever that you are going to do.

Hope everyone will have a great weekend I don't think I will be on till Monday when I get back from my parents so I am sure I will have a lot to read.

Have a safe and fun long weekend :yay:

Ok, it's time for a few more pet photos
Minnie thinks she is a person and likes to sit herself up by leaning against the couch or chair. She will sit like that until her back gets tired. This is in the motorhome on vacation.

She just looks redicilious!!!:rotfl2:

Ok,
I have bored everyone long enough with a few photos today. Lets see what photos the rest of you can find to post over the weekend.

Kathy

Kathy,

I looooove all your photos!! I love the one of Minnie sitting upright! I think all dogs think they are human. :) :) At least our dog did, and my friends who have dogs think they are human, too. HAHA!! So cute.

I love all your WDW pictures! I love Animal Kingdom!! And, Animal Kingdom Lodge is really really cool, too.

We were at WDW last New Year's Eve (2010) - Jan 5, and so all the Christmas decorations were up for most of the time we were there. So, we saw all the cool lights at Hollywood Studios, and all the fun decorations all over the parks. Was so neat!!

I love Epcot! It is one of my favorite parks, and definitely where we eat most of our meals when we are there. Although, we love always going to the Sci Fi Dine In restaurant at Hollywood Studios, too. But, most of our meals are at Epcot. I saw that pizza place last time we were there, but didn't eat at it. It looks good, though!!

You guys all look great and your son, Greg, looks a lot like you. At least from the pictures, that is what it seems to me. :)

I don't have time now to post any pictures, but I will try to do it next week.

I'm waiting for Eric to get home... :rolleyes1 Stiill not sure what is going on. :rolleyes1

Take care!!
Kathy

Kathy,

let us know what he has planned if anything. If nothing else he has got you curious for the day:lmao:
Peter looks a lot like my dad. All of my kids look totally different. You would swear they wernt related to each other LOL!!
Maybe I will post photos of each one sometime and you will see they are all totally different from each other.

Kathy

Well, total surprise to me... Eric booked tickets to Portland (small commuter 40 min flight), and the 4 of us are flying there at 5pm, then my inlaws are meeting us at the Portland airport, and they are taking the boys to their house for the weekend to spend time with gma & gpa, and Eric & I are staying in Portland by ourselves w/ out kids for weekend! Wow! Totally would not have guessed this.

So, we get home Monday. I will post again after we get home!
