Oh my goodness, i don't think i can hold on to that kind of secret!! I would not be able to that, i would be completely in awe of your perseverance. But that would be one heck of a surprise for your cherubs. I don't know if i can trust my kids to keep that kind of secret from your children. Well, the unified school district here in San Diego is not so good, so i opted for a charter school who's school calendar is different from a year round and regular school calendar. It's kind of in between the two different schedules. And it's the best decision we ever made, my kids keep getting academic awards and we could be more prouder as parents. Especially with my son, he has excelled by leaps and bounds and we no longer struggle with him to do any kind of school work. In any case, i hope to here from you all regularly so we can meet up in the the cruise, children and all.

Love that you've found a school that has proven to be a great fit for your kiddos. That's so important, I think. And we'll see how long we last before spilling the beans to our little ones. I'm horrible at keeping secrets- especially when they involve a fun surprise like this one. But that doesn't mean that as parents we can't keep communicating and then once we share with our littles we can put them in touch for sure.

Congratulations! and a big aboard! Gosh, I can remember when we took our children to Disneyland for the first time. They were so small, time goes by so fast and BAM! We got preteens! Enjoy them while you can, these times are sure to become precious memories by all. Hope to bump in to you all at the cruise!

Need some tips from this group, and perhaps pointers to other threads across disboards.

1) My dad has limited mobility due to Parkinson's, and will either be using a wheeled walker, or wheelchair, by the time the cruise happens. Suggestions on dinner, shows, general enjoyability for him. This trip is more about him than us or the kiddos.

2) My parents play bridge. A lot. Anyone play bridge? If there are interested parties, please reply or pm or conversation and I can figure out how to set it up!

Ahoy there! aboard and congratulations! I am excited for you an you multigenerational family! Sadly, my husband and i don't know the first thing about bridge, but we would be willing to learn. If you go to "disneycruise.disney.go." you can look up all kinds of things that might entertain your parents. This will be our children first cruise, my daughter is 10 and my son will be 13 in November. They would probably like to Skype. This will be our second cruise, our first disney cruise was over 10 years ago, so we are really not at all up to date in the disney cruise scene. I just learned about "fish extension exchange" around December 2015,
if you are interested in being included just look up "mollyclairesmom" and sign up the family. Also, there are some great family videos and tips about disney cruises on youtube. You might get some ideas on what is going on in the cruises. Hope to hear from you soon.

First time disney cruisers. We are excited and my son can't wait to celebrate his birthday while on the Fantasy!!

Well, well, Welcome aboard! Congratulations on your very first cruise, traveling will never be the same once you have cruised. This will be my husband's and mine second time but it will be our children's first cruise too. My son will turn 13 on the cruise and my daughter is 11 years old. Their last day of school will be June 2nd, so maybe we can get the kids to Skype or face time each other?! Their summer will be very short, school will begin in early July. So let me know if and when you wanna do this. My daughter is a chatter box and my son loves video games, maybe the boys can get together on the playstation? I can't wait till the cruise time, hope to hear from you soon!

Hi everyone! We booked this cruise while being aboard for our first cruise on Holloween. It was wonderful. It's jersey week so the kids don't miss too much school. We have a family of 5 and shared an ocean view on the fantasy before, but have a verandah this time. Plus, all 3 of our kids will be able to enjoy the club this time around. (Our youngest was 2.5 last sailing). Can't wait!!

Love teacher's convention in Jersey! We will be on the cruise as well!
