I wasn't sure where to post this question, after much debate I ended up here. If it's in the wrong location feel free to move it!

Is there anything special going on at WDW the week of November 5-13th? After a lot of debate I picked that week for my parents, MIL, bro and SIL, and my family to meet at Disney. I thought it would be relatively slow, but now am wondering. I saw that free dining is excluded from that week but available all around it (we didn't want it anyway, but it just seemed like an odd week to exclude, all of the other exculded dates seemed to be holidays), and just out of curiosity I checked room prices at the Hilton Bonnet Creek and The Waldorf Astoria (after listening to an old podcast review on them) and neither resort had availability that week, but everything around it was open.

We can't change our dates now, but I was just curious as those things seemed to me to indicate that week is at least expected to be busier than the weeks around it. Does anyone have any information or thoughts?

Well, I knew about MVMCP, but I figured since it was only early November that wouldn't be a huge draw since most people aren't in the height of the Christmas spirit just after Halloween. Maybe I thought wrong, but since I did want to hit the Christmas party some week had to be chosen. I know I heard that the first week of MNSSHP was usually not that crowded so i assumed the MVVCP would be similar.

I haden't even noticed the Veterans Day was on the calendar that week! Do people get that off of work or school? No one in my family does that I am aware of.

Jersey week. Hmmm. I faintly remember hearing something about that a long time ago when I used to lurk more on the boards (BK - before kid). Does that make a big difference? Does everyone in NJ get the week off or what? There is no "Pennsylvania week". :goodvibes The schools directly around me can't get their schedules to match up, let alone the entire state! Like I said, we can't change dates now, but I guess I should be prepared if it's going to be busier than I had expected for the time of year. I used to always go over Easter or in summer, it can't be as busy as that, can it?:confused3

It will also be the last week of Food and Wine Festival and Osborne Lights starts on November 10.
