November 4, 2006 - Magic

Sue - I found you!!! Hello!! I guess we're the pioneers on this thread!

Hey!

We have to start recruiting now! Ha ha. Something tells me we won't be the only 2 NJ people on this cruise!

I can almost guarantee a HUGE NJ presence on this cruise. Since we sailed on 11/6, the week after NJ week. All the CM's kept saying that we missed all our neighbors by a week!!! They said that it got so bad, that they stopped asking what state people were from and just saying where in NJ are you from. If they met someone from outside of NJ, it was a real treat!!! We did have a pretty big contingent of NJ'ers on our cruise, I guess trying to parlay Teachers Convention week into a longer vacation. I'm trying to personally recruit some friends, so I'm working on it!!!

Add another NJ family. The 2006 cruise will be our 5th NJ week cruise (we're also going 2005). We are me and my DH, DS16, DS14 and DD11 at the time of sailing. I love going that week, everyone automatically has something in common. We were lucky and had a boy from my son's school on the ship and they were able to hang out. Gary Delena pretty much did a routine on living in NJ which was hysterical.

SweetSpot -

Where in South Jersey? We're from Forked River. My DS will be 15 when we sail in 2006.

.............we will be on the 05' sailing with you. Myself, DH, DD10, and DS 8. We just got off the NJ week Wonder this year and had a blast. We are hooked! Have you done the western cruise before? This will be our first time on the western. What is your experience with the room catagories? We had a SPR , which was great. None were available for NJ weeks 05' and 06'. So we went for the 6. I did manage to snag a SPR for later in Nov 06', for $2000 cheaper, just have to take the kids out of school.:)

sweet angel: We are in Washingon Township, the one closest to Philly. Leave it to NJ to have 5 Washington Townships!

Dizma: We've done 3 Easterns and '05 will be our first Western. It will be nice to have a change but we will miss the extra sea day and the day we had on the empty ship when everyone else got off in St. Maarten. We were in a Cat 4 for our first 2 cruises but have outgrown the room with three kids and really don't want to get two rooms and split us up. We also spend enough time in the room that we really wanted to have a verandah. We were in a mid ship cat 3 this year and loved the space and have the same room booked for '06. Next year we were lucky enough to get the Roy suite when I read here the dates opened up.

You can add us to the list. This is our first cruise ever. We're going with another family who just got off the Wonder a few weeks ago. They booked us while on board. My DH is not too thrilled with the idea as he has motion sickness problems but I told him he has 2 years to figure out how to have fun on the cruise!!

At that time my kids will be DD-9, DS-6 3/4 and DS-4....hard to imagine them those ages. We figured with Election Day and Veteran's Day that week, we'll only have to pull them out of school for 3 days.

Will you NJ'ers put up with a bunch of Long Islanders? We are Giants fans!!

I promise not to say "Lon-guyland" if you promise not to say "Joisey". :earboy2:

My BF loves the Giants!

How about New....Mexico!?!
Sue! I have a quote in process right now. I guess the only question is cat-7 or our cat-11 that we liked so much.
I am waaayyyy psyched :cool1:
and Joe is looking forward to diving with his buddy again!! :hyper2:

WOOHOO!!!!! Who cares what category you're in as long as we can have fun again??? We went with the cat. 6 this time instead of the 4 like last time. Worst case scenario, one of us can sleep on the balcony. LOL!

I'm really psyched now! :cool1:

I'm starting to feel like we're planning a play date for the dive buddies! :D

Booked, signed, sealed, down-payed...
:cheer2: It official! We're IN! :cool1:

Whew! Only 689 days to go...
