Help!

I have been looking at the rates to pick up a rental car in Port Canaveral and rent for three days returning it to the airport and the rates being quoted are extreme!

I have tried Hertz, Avis and Budget and they are all asking for over $100 a day for a minivan (family of 5). I can rent the same vehicle at the airport for half that amount.

If I can't find a cheaper car rental, what is the best/cheapest way to get my family to the airport to pick up a rental car from there?

Thanks!

JC

Welcome! I am pretty sure we will book a room at the Hyatt, too. May I ask what kind of rate you got?

I haven't booked yet, although I thought that I would get a good rate booking early, but it was still $159.00.

I'm going to keep watching it and see if a better rate is out there.

Guys another question,

What's the best way to get magnets made up for cabin doors and fe gifts? I have a couple of designs and am keen to get them made into something.

Thanks

I know they're pretty easy to make, but I saw some cool ones on Etsy for $12.50. I think that's where I'm going to get mine.

Thanks Barrie!!
Just wanted to get it right.:thumbsup2

Here are some other options, not sure if they will help you or not. Sometimes people on the same crusie split the cost of a limo so its not too expensive. Not sure if anyone here is interested but that might be an option too.

This came off the Dis Tip board.
After car rental, the next recommended alternative to a taxi is a shuttle service.

Was it my log-in name, the fact that I am really polite or that I use EH when I talk, that gave it away?

Yes, I am a proud fourth generation Canadian from sunny Alberta!

Looking forward to NHL hockey starting up on Saturday, even though everybody involved is getting paid way to much!

How are you flying to Orlando? Got a great deal on Delta through Expedia!

I'll head onto FB and make my friend request.

Hello Everyone!

Started a thread n the "other" forum that will remain nameless and Kathy showed me the error of my ways!

I am Barrie and my DW is Charolette. Our three DDs are Bailey (13), Haley (9) and Cassidy (9). Yes, Haley and Cassidy are twins.

We booked two adjoining interior cabins on Deck 8 and will be flying in on the Thursday before the cruise. Plan on staying in Orlando and driving to the port on Saturday morning. Going to spend three days after the cruise in Orlando to shop and see some of the sights.

Looking forward to being a part of an active cruise forum!

Welcome to our very fun cruise thread! If your family is interested in joining our FE exchange or Secret Mickey exchange, just let me know and I will add you to our list!

Barrie, over on our FB page there is a "file" at the top with a Budget Rent A Car coupon code some of us have used. You may want to give that a try!

Thanks,

I have been in bed most of the week, but this morning I am feeling a bit better, but I now have a nasty cough. Guess that too will run its course.

I can't believe it's friday already!!!
Another week closer to this cruise :banana::banana::banana:

New to Disney Cruising, so not totally familiar with the FE concept. Kathy has been trying to educate me, but I am a slow learner! If I have any say, the answer will be yes but I need to confirm with my four bosses (DW and 3 DS's).

Can you list me know as a maybe?:confused3

Thanks again!

Barrie, I will add your family and when you get your final answer let me know! Those of us participating are already working on our gifts so it's nice to have a ball park number of people! If you decide yes, I will need all of your names & ages (adults don't have to tell!), cabin #, dinner seating and if you are celebrating anything special on board! If you decide no, I will just remove you from the list.

Good morning everyone,
