Hello. First time Disney Cruise and wife and I can't wait. New to all of this, but figuring out the acronym meanings, etc. Let's see, it will be DH, DW, DD-10, DS-12. Kids don't know and plan to surprise them this summer. We are the Wuertzers and will be in Cabin #6096. I requested to join the FB page and we're unsure of the FE at this time, although sounds like a lot of fun. Need to discuss with DW first. )

We just did our first cruise in Jan 2013 (3 night) and loved it so much. I'm actually looking at 7 night cruises now for next year.

Your kids are going to be so excited when they hear the news -- traveling on a huge ship is definitely a thrill!

I will add you to the FB page and I already updated your info on page 1. If you decide to join the Fish Extended, let me know. It's a great way to explore the ship (by delivering the goodies) and kids and adults of all ages really do enjoy seeing all the various gifts. It's like Christmas every day!

There are lots of DD8, 9 and 10s on this cruise so your daughter will have lots of friends around to say hi! There aren't as many boys this cruise but it's still really early...

Welcome back!! I was wondering if you decided on another cruise or not. Glad to hear you are still in! You should be on our fb page by now. My DD8 is so happy to know that there are so many girls her age on the cruise.

As for the FE, your girls are the perfect age to really enjoy the gifts -- both giving and receiving. It's harder on teens (so picky) and babies (they don't care) but in between is perfect.

I forget, have you done a cruise or FE before? If not, I highly suggest you try it. Remember it is just for FUN!!! and really is a lot of fun thinking of gifts (whether store bought, hand made or a little of both).

My girls would run down the hall b/c they couldn't wait to see what they got!
Some gifts were really cool; others were practical; still more were neat Disney stuff; and others like candy we just gave to the Cast Members running the Kids Club. They really appreciated having the candy and I liked being able to give it to them.

Anyway, if you do decide to join, don't wait too long. We are already at 11 families and will be closing down FE #1 with somewhere between 15-20 families. However, don't feel pressured to join, I can guarantee you that there will also be a FE #2 and maybe even a #3. Those won't be as big most likely ... just depends on how quickly cruisers find this thread!

How exciting for you to have a Disney honeymoon! My husband and I did ours there back in 1998 and combined it with a visit to Universal Studios. We were Disney newbies and tried to save money by doing one those timeshare talks to get free tickets. We didn't last long and will never, ever do that again !! Then I thought I scored big by getting a brand name hotel off property for $30 something a night!! That was an experience as we had to change rooms three times before we demanded our money back and went somewhere else. We learned our lesson. From then on, we stay on property and do the dining plan at all times! Glad you could join us!
