There is an open FB page dedicated to fish extenders for all Disney cruises. People on there make some incredible things -- jewelry, bags, Disney knick knacks, paintings, etc. My DH made our FE for us. You can buy on Etsy, just use a beach bag or make your own. Just google make your own fish extender. There was a dis thread...

Yeah! I've only done one FE but it was a lot of fun. The variety of gifts given just made it fun. We actually decided to begin pin trading b/c of the FE pins we were given! Now we enjoy that too.

I'll add your info to the top and once we get about 5 more families or so, I'll begin a FB page so we can discuss it more.

I know! I just keep looking at the dis and FB FE pages to see what others are doing. I have some basic FE gifts that I've bought but I also like to do something crafty, too.

Just for an average, I would assume we will get about 15-20 families in FE #1.

Right now I'm collecting crafty ideas from DIS and FB FE threads and also buying some smaller things, too.

We just booked our first Disney Cruise. The FE looks like a lot of fun, so count us in. It's myself, DH and DD 8 and DD 4. My 8 year old is already excited there will be girls her age. We will be in room 7678. Can't wait for this trip, everyone is so excited!

Welcome aboard! You have a similar family to mine -- two daughters ages 8 and 4 now!

Yes, my DD8 is so excited to have other girls on board and you will be close by too! On our first cruise last year she really enjoyed meeting some of the other FE kids and another family would write messages on our whiteboard asking if Rachel can come play in the kids club. It was so cute.

Your first cruise will be wonderful! Definitely go to the disboards section on cruising tips for 1st timers & what I would and would not do on DCL. I found them to be very helpful.

My best advice is what someone else told us: don't try to do it all. There truly is so much to do on the ship and islands but take time to enjoy.

just booked this cruise we are in cabin 9152 (I think). it is my husband, my ds (6) and dd (8). and myself. we will be celebrating 8 years of marriage!

This is our first Disney cruise but we have been on many cruises on numerous cruise lines. I feel like a newbie because everything seems different!

I would love to do the fe as well
