November 3, 2012 - Election Escape Eastern!!

Almost ready to go. Nearly everything is packed. A few last minute things to do when I get home from work and then off to the airport! It's been interesting getting everything done - I was food poisoned a couple days ago & was pretty much useless for a day. Thank goodness we had done most of the packing over the weekend! (I'm not sure I will ever eat Egg Drop Soup again )

Since we aren't in New Jersey, we have always been missing 4 days of school. Up until this year, they used to hold parent/teacher conferences this week which meant 1 or 2 days off so it used to be a 2 or 3 day week. But when the calendar came out for this year, they had moved that to Thanksgiving week DS is in 8th grade and his teachers have been really good about it. A couple have just excused him from the work and a couple have given him everything in advance. He should only have a few classes to catch up with when we return.

We were scheduled for this sailing but had to change it to oct 20th. Sorry, as we did mess the boat up a bit (with the help of 'Sandy' ofcourse).
I'm sure it's all fixed and pretty again!

What great ship! The crew is the best ever! Wouldn't change anything... It's good to be home, but I find my bed isn't anywhere as nice as on the Fantasy... and how often do you get to say that!

We thoroughly enjoyed everything involved with the FEs. The gifts were so imaginative and varied... *sigh* great memories.... Thank you all.

We had a wonderful time and happy we met those of you that we did, unfortunately, we didn't meet everyone.

We had a wonderful time meet many great people while at the pool and the lounge. The meet and greet was awesome already booked for July 13 next year for an Eastern Caribbean hope all is well with everybody leave tomorrow and back to work on Tuesday.

We are all booked for the June 29, 2012 Fantasy sailing, if anyone is going let us know! We had a day of Disney World fun, went for the AP preview of the new fantasyland and got to eat at Be Our Guest, Highly recommended to all! It was delicious for both lunch and dinner!
Thank you all for he lovely FE gifts, it was a lovely and fun experience. I hope to see you guys in future sailings! Big hugs and blessings to all!

We had a great time on the cruise!!! DD (2 yo.) wasn't too great the first day; but was fine the rest of the time.

My wife did quite a bit of lurking on this thread, and during the chats; but we didn't end up meeting any DISers (although we saw some red shirts). And she's the outgoing one!!!!!

I'm in the process of starting a trip report though. I might start posting that tonight or tomorrow.

Sneaking over here from the March 9th thread with a stop in San Juan as well. Would love to hear about the stop and any suggestions of things to do with my kids...DD7 and DS12. Anything that is a "Don't Miss??"

We walked to the nearest fort and then took the free trolly to Fort Al Mauro with a free trolley ride back to port.

Definitely and they are also very walkable from the port - up a steep hill.

We walked up to one and enjoyed the view but didn't go in - we had done the horseback riding excursion through the rainforest and wanted lunch more than touring around. I'm glad we went up there though..?
