November 3, 2012 - Election Escape Eastern!!

Welcome!!!

I will add you to our roll call on the first post. :) I have a DD right between your two kids. She'll be 7 on the cruise.

I look forward to getting to know you!!

My daughter will be 7 in December, so that will be perfect. We haven't told them yet, but I am sure we will before we leave. Hopefully our girls can get to know each other some before the cruise!

I wish that I could join in the chat today, but I work every Monday and Friday night. Hope you guys have a good time though, and I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

Check out this post for those who are intrested in running the CC5K, seems like there have been some positive changes

Thank you! We are even more excited than before and it will be a good stretch before our half the next day!

It's official. My son (Robby - turns 11 on cruise) and I (Dan) will be joining you all. :yay: We will be in cabin 8583 (a few down from where we were on the Dream last year). Had to switch from an Navigator Verandah to an inside cabin since we are using our DVC points instead of cash. But, the virtual port holes are cool and give somewhat of a feel that you can see out. Now I just have to keep a secret until then - it's going to be hard. ;)

:welcome: Good luck keeping the cruise a secret! We are almost at the six month mark!!!:cheer2:

Any news if a character breakfast will be offered on the Fantasy?
Less than 7 months to go! :yay:

Thanks - it's going to be hard. Especially when we get on the transfer from WDW to the port. I'm hoping he will buy that we are going to Vero Beach. That's the story we are telling him!

Does anyone have suggestions for a couple going to these ports for the first and our first cruise without kids? :confused3 We keep reading not to bother with the boat run excursions but we also get told that we shouldn't wonder around these ports alone when you don't know the area. That being said it is our honeymoon and we want to have a good time and see what there is to see. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :worship:

We personally have not had any problems with the ship-run excursions on any of the eight Disney cruises we have taken, and feel somewhat safer on them because I know I'm not going to be left behind in some port unless I wander off away from my tour group. I have been on 2 cruises where table mates have 'gone on their own' and we end up with empty chairs because the ship left them behind after waiting an hour beyond sailing time. Plus I know Disney has thoroughly checked out the operators and always ask for feedback in order to decide whether they will use that operator again. One tour we took was terribly messed up and Disney made it right for everyone on that tour. They didn't have to, but they did. That wouldn't happen 'on your own.' JMHO, I am totally happy with ship-booked excursions.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!!!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Juli, and I'm very excited to be joining you. :) The last few weeks before our cruise, I lurked in my Wonder thread (didn't want to jump in last minute), and I found the info to be invaluable. In any case, we just got off the Wonder on Sunday (4/8), and we booked this Fantasy cruise while onboard. We're also from Jersey, taking advantage of Jersey Week. ;)

My husband Paul and I have two kids, Ella (6) and Jake (3). This will be our third Disney Cruise. I addition to the 4/1 Wonder, we also did the Dream last year. We are hooked. :p We may be joined by my in-laws--we went ahead and booked the extra stateroom while on the Wonder.

So excited, and I'm thrilled we don't have over a year to wait this time!
