Hi dchris from a"neighbor".We are from Germany.We too will not participate in the FE due to the "wonderful" weight limit from the Airlines.When are you flying over,we will be on a Plane from Düsseldorf to Miami on the wednesday prior to the cruise.

Hi DIS Cruisers!

I have been reading the DIS like forever, I'm not a real active member
because I live a good distance away, The Netherlands.
But I read DIS boards everyday, and just happen to stumble upon
this cruise meet section.

We are going Nov 3. We have a 9A GTY booked a year ago and we
got a 9A room #5186.
We hope the room will be great, but I heard some people talking about noise complaints.

Unfortunately we are not able to do FE gifts beacause of weight restrictions for our luggage, although we like the idea very much!
We also can't bring any pirate costumes either.

This is our first cruise ever so to say we are excited is a big understatement!

Maybe I will meet some of you, and for the ones we won't meet......have a great cruise!!!!!!!

Two weeks from today at this very moment, we will be in the air on our way to our Happy Place! A few days of fun in the parks then relaxing in the sun of the Caribbean!!!

I have a question for those that have rented a car. We are renting from Budget Fri night and will drive to port Sat morning. My DH will drop off myself & DD withour luggage and then go return the car. What documents do I need to check him in and what documents does he need to get through security?

We will be doing the same but picking up the rental in Tampa on Thursday.

Patty (princess81499) did this same thing when she sailed the Dream in August. I aksed her the same question and here is her response to my inquiry.

It was very easy. Mike dropped off me and the girls at the port. They took the luggage right at the curb. I went in and checked us all in. Mike just needed his drivers license to get into the port. I had his passport for the cruise check in. He returned the car and met us in the terminal. By then I had taryn signed up for kids club and girls already did pictures with Mickey. We waited about 30 minutes and then boarded together. So I would keep the car until that morning and do the same thing.

As long as you have done the online check-in all it seems that they would need would be your signature sheet from the cuise online check-in, passports for your husband and yourself, and possibly the credit card that you listed for onboard cruise charges.

As Patty states, your husband would just need his Driver's License to get into the port.

Greetings Denis! Have a safe trip crossing the Atlantic! We certainly hope to meet you on the ship. Looks like most of us will be wearing red shirts at the Terminal and when we board the ship - you will easily spot this crazy-but-oh-so-much-fun bunch

The "I Love DISboards.com" wristbands arrived and I think they came out pretty nice. (Although I will still NEVER use the same company again!)

I'll be giving these away as my FE gift to everyone on the list. I would also be happy to give them to anyone NOT on the FE list who would like them. If you want some, please PM with your stateroom number and how many are in your group. (Time4Family & Mikimom - I already have you on my list) I plan to try and drop these off the first evening. If you don't have an FE, I will probably just hang them on the fish outside your door, so keep an eye out for them.

I might bring them to the meet before we sail, but if I do, I'll need to bring a list so I can mark off who picks them up there I have a lot of extras, but probably not enough to pass out doubles to everyone

If there are any on the FE list who definitely do NOT want wristbands that have anything to do with the DISboards, send me a PM and I'll take you off my list.

We are not on FE but would love to have 4. I will follow up with room number.

We booked an 8A and ended up in 10028, which I think is a 5A. Definitely looking forward to the verandah.

Cruise Meet-n-Greet - Planned by Stephen Storms - Bon Voyage lounge located on deck 3 just behind guest services. The time will be 3-3:45 pm just before the Muster drill on November 3.

Originally I was going to work Monday and Tuesday before we flew out Wednesday, but I decided that I am so tired and run-down., if I took Monday and Tuesday off, that would give me 4 days to relax and regroup before our vacation!

So that means.....I ONLY have 5 more days of work left
I will be ON LEAVE when we have our next chat!!!!
