November 2nd 2002 anyone???

We will be cruising our first time with Disney on November 2, 2002. Anyone else out there?

Our family will be with you...we are myself and DH 35 and our two kids DS-9 and DD-6. The kids don't know about the cruise part of our trip, they think we are just going to WDW. Boy are they in for a surprise

We will also be on the November 2nd cruise. My husband, me and our two girls ages 7 & 9. Trying not to get too excited yet!

It's great to hear everyone is getting excited too even though a have a few months to wait. Our 9 year old daughter is very excited to be going on the big ship!! So it's Chuck, Amy and Lindsey. We are excited about arriving the day before and getting a good nights rest before cruising the next day.

Does anyone know about signing up for excursions early? I read about it somewhere and can't remember where it was. I don't really care just don't want things to maybe fill up and miss out.

You can sign up by calling a special number 60 days before the trip after all your money has been received by DCL. I think the excursions are listed on dcltribute.com. Where are everyone's cabins? We're in the forward part of deck 5.

Thanks for the excursion info. We are in the back area on Deck 8. I think the buffet is above us!!!

We are on deck 6 , I believe cabin 6550. We are also looking into all the excursions. I am a beach lover, dh is not. The girls love the beach so I guess we win 3 to 1. I do know we want to do the parasailing, but on which Island is what we have to decide.

We are also going on the Nov 2, 2002 cruise. Our family has 10
of us. Me and DW, our married son, his wife and their 2 kids (ages 8 and 2 1/2) and our married daughter, her husband and
their 2 kids (ages 5 and 2 1/2). We are in rooms 8030 and 8028.
By the way also going with us are 125 members , familly and friends of our Disney club (the NFFC - Jersey shore chapter). We
booked this cruise almost 2 years in advance so we have been counting down for almost a year and a half. Only 6 months to go.

We'll be joining you on the 11/2 cruise! We booked this trip in October and have been talking about it ever since. There are 4 of us: myself, DH, DD 8, and DS 5. We're on deck 5, #5520.
Just enjoying reading/learning what to expect on our first Disney cruise-

We are also from NJ...seems like there will be alot of us!

I had heard because of a school holiday that the trip would be heavily NJ families. This thread is proving that true. It looks like there will be a few of us from the other 49 though. I'm VA, and I see AZ and MO here also.

I looked at the DCL website last night and it showed no more Cat. 4 staterooms available. We're filling up fast!

NJ Teacher's convention is always the second thurs and friday of November and all schools have at least two days off - we also have an inservice day to make that three days. So it's the ideal time for families to go on vacation.

Add another NJ family to the 11/2 cruise! There are 7 of us... my parents, wife and I, and 3 kids, age 13, 6 and 6. We have adjoing rooms on deck 6. I'm ready to leave now!

I think this about sums it up:

Heard we can't book our excursions until 60 days prior to departure, which would be nominally 9/2, or Labor Day Weekend.


I'll ask a further question about the NJ folks on 11/2... are you from North NJ or South NJ.... we are South NJ.

Are your 6 year olds boys or girls. We have a DS who will be 6 1/2 then and a few people we are going with have similarly aged boys!

We are formally of Monmouth County now we are in the Princeton Area. We are on Deck 7. It certainly sounds as if there will be quite a crowd from Jersey

We'll be at the Radisson the night before the trip. Anyone else coming the day before? We wanted to come even eariler in the day and go to Typhoon Lagoon, but I called and it closes that very day for rehabilitation! Maybe something will change over time, or maybe we'll just have to do Blizzard Beach again.

HowardK: Does your group just pick a time to go on the same trip, or do you have activities on board for the members....parties, group activities, etc.? Does the group often travel to the parks also?
