We are celebrating our 10th anniversary too!

Let's call Gamma a girl. Used to be all hurricanes were girl until the politically correct got hold of it. Can't image calling a ship by a male name either . . .

I have proudly finished sanding all my kitchen cabinets. While I'm waiting for DH to come home from Seattle on Wednesday, I took it upon myself to work on fininshing painting those darn kitchen cabinets. It's much easier when they aren't evaluated until it's done . . .LOL. My ds (8 yo) even managed to sleep through me power sanding.

In case anyone is interested, the Magic Turkey Cruise starts tomorrow. They have already started a "live from" thread. Should be entertaining. It's a great way to pass the time until we take the ship over from them. Please note they are threatening to drink all the Miller beer on board. I figured it didn't really matter b/c our group sounds more like the wine drinking crowd.

Well off to relax.

Have a super day!

They are also threatining to make the Magic go back into Drydock after they are done with it. I do not care, just get me on that boat. I know I will be bringing enough Alcohol I should not have to buy much on the boat.

Boo mc,
Well you are sure farther along than we are! I need to get a-movin!!!!! :cool1:

And wow you freaked me out with that drydock talk...LOL First Gamma, and then the words threatening and drydock. You can tell I am getting major stressed out. I had to go and read your post over again...whew!

I am SO happy there is another "LIVE from" thread again. I wish there was one from the 11/12 EASTERN, but the Thanksgiving one will be good too. It is unbelievable that we are RIGHT behind them. Still seems so surreal to me!

I know what you mean, Michelle2. I was watching the weather tonight and realized we won't be here to grumble about the cold next Friday . . .LOL. Sunny, warm days here we come!

Wooo hooo! :cool1: :cool1:   :earseek:

I can't believe that when the magic leaves today, we will be the next ones on it when she comes back!!!! Isn't it just surreal???? :faint:

I would have to agree! When reading a live thread, one thinks, I wish I was on the Magic. Well, next week, we will be on it! After 18 months of planning, it does seem surreal.

Okay, I'm already pinching myself . . .LOL. With only ds (8) home this weekend, I don't think I'll really feel like it's time to go until dh and ds (11) are here helping me pack :) Well off to start painting those kitchen cabinets . . .

Can't wait to meet ya'll!

Good Morning,

24 Degrees in Boston this morning. Going to the gym was cold :cold:

The Thanksgiving group sounds like a wild bunch. They have over 15,000 post compared to our 1000. Yikes...

As long as thier is sun, family and friends, a good time will be had. :cheer2:

Offical packing into suitcases begins this morning. It seems like we've been planning for so long and now only 6 days before we fly out. I can't believe next week we will be entering the DCL boarding area. We went to the book store and got looks of things for the plan ride to Orlando. My DD doesn't understand time just yet and keeps asking if we are leaving tomorrow. We only 6 more tomorrows!!

Signs are made, name tags are made and laminated. Need to get money, cameras and lots of batteries.

Does any one planning on doing an washing of clothes on board? I hope not to and will wear things twice before having to do this. Lets hope the kids don't make to much of a mess so I don't have to worry about them.

So who else is planning on calling room service at 1:00 am for a Mickey Bar. :rotfl: My DW and I lost about 5 pounds each so we can gain 10 on board. :rotfl2:

Enjoy your last weekend before the big event!!

Hi Louie! Just plan on the kids living in swimsuits and t-shirts. I have overpacked every year and I am determined not to do it again. We have the kids change out of their dress clothes after dinner, so you can usually get a few wearings out of them. I am trying to make sure I have clothes that can mix and match and I am only bringing one (yes, one ladies!!!) pair of dress shoes. Ok, I am bringing two pairs on sandals too, but my first cruise I brought a different pair of dress shoes for every night. We had to have a separate suitcase just for shoes. :teeth: Good luck with the packing. I am hoping to get to that tomorrow.

Joanne :earsgirl:

We are packing right now. DW is finishing up her dresses. I think I have all my clothes ready to go. I am not planning on doing Laundry on board, but will if I have to. I also do not want to pack to much. Need room for presents, that is why I have extra bags packed.

I can't believe in a week, we should be on our way to Port Canaveral.

Hi gang - need help with my Bahamas immigration cards. We will be there on 12/01 correct? Also, do we just sign them for our kids? I'm assuming they don't expect kids to sign them. Also, Port Canaveral doesn't fit in the "where you boarded this ship" area. Are you just squeezing it in? Not sure how strict they are about the one letter per box rule (SAT flashback!). Lastly, what city is Dreams Unlimited in for section 2?

Thanks so much and happy birthday to those celebrating today! :bday:

DW wants to know, do we need sweatshirts or a light coat for the evenings? Are shorts fine for after dinner?

Happy Birthday to all of you celebrating!! :cake: :bday:

Thanks all for the nice birthday wishes. I'm going to Melting Pot (a fondue resturant) then karaoke tonight.

I got a Bahamas immigration card also...but isn't that for people on the western itenary? I may be wrong on this, but I don't think anywhere we're going is in the Bahamas.

Matt

My understanding is that it's for Castaway Cay.

ljt - I'd tell her to bring a sweater. I asked a couple days ago and someone said the decks at night and restaurants/shows can get chilly.

Boo - That is correct. The card is for Castaway Cay. We will be there on the Dec. 02. I just put in PT CANAVER or whatever fits. I think you can just sign it. If you fill it out wrong, they will just have you redo it when you check in.

ljt - Yes bring a sweater or light jacket. Once it gets dark outside with the wind, it will be a little chilly.

Thanks to all for the good advice. Did some serious packing today and my yard is absent of leaves. :cool1:

Just got back from Target and picked up some of my items on my list. Getting down to short strokes.

Let's all just pray she/he stays away. We will be leaving Monday around 2:30 for disney world!!!!!!! We were there last year for one of the hurricanes, we stayed at old key west we watched a tree be pulled up on the golf course. Disney handles these things very well for guests but well I won't even start with the way I feel they handled things for the cast members............

My packing is getting towards done (yeah right) With church tomorrow morning and night services we have very little time. I think dh is getting a little worried. We have someone staying at our house to keep the dog and so the house needs to be spotless and well just to much stress..........
Anyway if I don't have time to get back on the site before we leave on monday we will see you guys next saturday and for those that my kids have been e-mailing don't forget they won't be home next week. Have a great Thanksgiving, we will be at crystal palace for thanksgiving dinner. See all in a week!!!!!
bahogg ( amy ) :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

See you in a week. :earboy2:

Have a great time at WDW, and Thanksgiving at Crystal palace, that is awesome!! We will be there for a few days after the cruise.
