November 26, 2005/ 7 day Eastern Magic

I go to a swim meet and you guys post a million messages. I now know how some people feel after taking a day off of reading messages.

stlmodeman - I have fixed Coby's name.

hpscole - Updated where you are staying at, already had your room number. Wish I was staying at the Beach Club. That is our home DVC Resort and we Love it.

Money- I am probably going to bring about $300-$400, with a lot of it in ones. We normally do get room service, but for other stuff. I will also be bringing some quarters just in case I need to do some laundry.

Is it time to leave yet? It's sooooo cold here! It was 80 degrees here yesterday and today it barely made 50 degrees! Brrrrrr . . . I'm ready for some fun in the sun!

See ya'll soon!

Doh! :headache: I forgot to put quarters on my pre-cruise shopping list! Thanks for reminding me! Well then I guess I won't bother ordering any Euros for St. Martin and may dispense with the TC although I like having them instead of big bills. A lot harder for me to sign that check than it is to fork over a currency note  I guess I can cut down on the number of quarter rolls I'll need since we've decided to bring (ugh! :crazy2: ) disposable diapers instead of cloth. Since there's several BofA branches near the hotel, I think I'll go in the afternoon because lunchtime on Black Friday sounds like a looooong wait for a teller.

1 MORE SLEEP!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

My boys can hardly contain themselves. Neither can I, but I still have the last minutes packing to do. It seems like I've got things pretty organized, then I go to bed and think of more things I need to do. I've got a paper and pencil by the side of my bed now and add things to it all night long.

Well, if I don't get to post again, I hope you all have a safe trip!

We were down in the 20's this morning - 70's is looking pretty awesome!! :sunny:

Thanks Jon!! I appreciate you making the change. As my kids told me this morning on the way to school, 4 days and a wakeup before we leave. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Have a great trip Thumpery!
And Harry Potter will not be playing now, but isn't there a remote chance it could be added by the time we cruise??? I hope so, but will not count on it anymore :(

And thanks for the advice on how much cash to bring, everyone. I was wondering about that.....I knew to bring alot of ones for tips etc, but wasn't sure on the overall amount. Now I have a pretty good idea.

FYI to everyone...Some of you may not have ever traveled to St. Thomas before. For those of you who haven't should know that your cell phone will work on the island to call back to the states. I know Sprint PCS works and a few others. The call is the same as if you were in the states. There aren't any extra charges. I know most aren't planning on doing anything but hanging out and won't care about a thing except for your vacation, but there are some that would like to check on their house, work, say hi to friends and family while their in the states freezing and your in warm St. Thomas talking with them. LOL!!! Safe travels to all, and we'll see you in a week!!!

Hi All :wave2:

How's the packing coming along? My DW is off today and hopes to get the kids packed. My pile in the corner is growing everyday. I've been knocking items off my list. Still have to pack my clothes. My semi formal and tux items are due back from the cleaners today. I'm trying to pack light but its hard to do.

I can't believe next week at this time I'll be in route to Orlando.

Hope your friday is going well.

Semi formal and a tux? My, aren't we going all out! :teeth: I didn't want to bring an extra suit so the only difference between my semi formal, Palo and formal night attire is the vest! DS has 3 outfits for formal/semi formal nights...hmmmm :scratchin there's something not right about that! DW picks up her dress from the alteration shop today--oh please let this thing fit properly!!! :p

We have 4 tote bins to set aside all the, uh, stuff that needs to be packed. :rotfl: From the looks of it all, you'd think we were going to the actual Serengeti instead of AKL! :teeth: oDW (the "other" DW--aka DW's best friend and DS's "aunt") is almost packed and has been driving her coworkers crazy about this trip. I was thinking about getting them both a gift basket from Shirley :love1: , not sure if I should have them delivered or if I should just pick them up.

Just got off the phone with the perfectgift and ordered my basket.

jonesing, thanks for reminding me.

I am bringing a suit for Formal Night. On Semi-Formal Night I am wearing a dress shirt with a tie. I am not one that likes to get dressed up. I will get dressed 5 minutes before dinner and out of the tie on the way back to the stateroom and changed a couple minutes after dinner.

We are getting close, my DW is looking for a different dress for Formal Night. Once she gets that done, I can pack all the Nice clothes and have one bag packed. All my stuff is ready to be packed. I just need to figure out how I want to pack the Alcohol so it does not break.

It would not be asa crazy if we were not going to the beach 2 hours away for thanksgiving and then coming back the night before we fly.

I will finish packing this weekend. I have knocked off printing a few things today. I still have the door signs left to do. Crazy next few days but it will be so worth it when one week from now I will be sitting by a pool enjoying some type of relaxing beverage.

What kind of door signs are you making? Is this a disboard thing?

We are celebrating our 10th anniversary too!

I got a very nice comp in the mail the other day for my birthday...2 free nights at Wynn Las Vegas (as in the $3 BILLION spent to build it Wynn LV).

So I'm having a mini vacation early next week before the big one.

Good thing I'm in semi-retirement LOL I couldn't be having all this fun if I still worked.

Since when is 30 the "big one"? :faint: You're making me feel old :guilty: :teeth:

So far I think there's 5 of us 11/19 birthday people on this sailing!

My birthday is actually on 11/26 (embarkationd day :cool1: ) so I'll just have to be an honorary member of the 11/19 club. Kids are packed we are not and our bed is currently covered with clothes that needs to go in the luggage. So it looks like I have some work to do before I go to sleep tonight!
