Well, I don't know about value for the price paid but we're in a concierge 1 bedroom. I fully intended to just book a balcony but mom wanted more space. As long as I got my own bathroom I didn't argue cause I loved the suites on the Dream. Now if they just put in a concierge lounge during dry dock

I'd love to see a concierge lounge as well! That's probably our favorite perk of concierge on the newer ships. We're keeping our fingers crossed for an upgrade at port (although, i don't think we've ever even seen upgrades listed as available out of Galveston), but we're perfectly content in our oceanview room.

Is anyone planning on doing any cabin decorations? I'm planning on door magnets and maybe some home purchased birthday celebration decorations for the stateroom.

I plan on magnets for the door and that's it. I have to think small as my FE stuff is already up to 2 carry ons As for upgrades, I have never checked since we usually have multiple rooms and what a pain that would be. Maybe if I ever cruise by myself I would try for one though. Oddly no one says no to going on a Disney cruise with me so going solo may take awhile!

In general the "ILs" are In Laws as in Mother in Law -MIL So Father, Son, Daughter, with IL etc. Based on that you can sort of make a guess at ages.

Yes and they put it in the Navigator so you know when. I think they still do officer trading also but I may be wrong.

You can trade pins with the officers. I will have to look at my Navigators from last November to see if it was listed or you could check the Disney blog site(Scott's site)? May be wrong about the blog site but it is where everyone here sends copies of their Navigator's to be posted.

Yes, although I am not sure if you can use an actual gift card anywhere onboard(or Castaway) except the stores. You can call DCL and have gift cards applied to your onboard account(you will receive a slip in your room showing amount) or visit Guest Services onboard and put the gift cards on that way. I call ahead with GC's so I don't have a balance(hopefully) at the end of the cruise. Do NOT dump the cards because any remaining balance goes back on them. I love using GC's because I can buy them at a discount so I am still saving money, and with Disney pricing any little bit helps!

Just a head's up that Target has changed their policy so I am not sure if their "discounted" GC's are as good of a deal as they used to be. I just get mine at Sam's unless someone is having a sale. Something as little as 5% off can make me so happy.

Are you silver? I would think you could book everything at 90 days if you are and that would be Friday. First time cruisers have to wait until Sept. 11th(I think).

Yes the remainder goes on whatever card you have on file. I think it is 5% off buying cards at Target with a Red card and Sam's has $150 for $142.98 in stores. Some Sam's carry the $500 for $475 or you can get them online.

Sadly we don't have a sam's membership or red card. On a positive note..we're paying with our Disney credit card do we'll earn some Disney dollars for all the spending we'll do.
