November 25th, 2016 - Black Friday on the Wonder

I would say that it's not the norm that I do WDW and DCL in the same year, but as I was typing I realized I started a new tradition last year. This is year 2 that I am doing both, but I am not planning to go for 3 in a row:sad2: I want a 2 week cruise instead for next year:rotfl2:

:earsboy:My family of four-(me, husband, 7 and 2 year old)are going on our first Disney cruise. I am interested in participating in the FE. We, (well I) are so excited, the girls do not know.

:welcome: Have you cruised before or will this be a first for that also?
Hopefully you read back a couple pages for my "rules" in regards to the FE. Page 9, post 174 will help. The only thing I will post here is your DIS name and who is in the room-no real names. Once you have posted 10 times I can pm you for your info(email, room # etc.). Feel free to post here to get your numbers up or http://www.disboards.com/forums/test-board.88/

Have you cruised on Disney with a 2 year old? Just curious as to your experience.

I have cruised DCL, Norwegian and Carnival with and without kids. I will say they were all older than 2 when they went, the youngest was maybe 8ish when we went. My experience with the kids clubs on DCL is zero as all the kids refused to go on all 3 cruises they went on. :confused3We never made them since it was always a multi-generational family cruise with relatives they only saw once a year. Family time was always more important to us than the kids clubs:laughing:

That makes sense! Thanks so much! I know my oldest will love it but just wondering about the youngest one.

Also, does anyone have any further information about the dry dock. Curious as to how much is really going to get done during that time.

In regards to the dry dock, I think Disney is waiting to see if the new locks open at the Panama Canal. Right now the Wonder is their only ship that can fit in the old locks. If they do the changes to her as they did to the Magic they would have to make sure the new locks are open or I think there would be no Alaska cruises next year. That will never happen as that is a big money maker for DCL. I am thinking she will "match" the Magic, with any new technology they have come up with, when it is all done.

I have noticed some reviews saying that the wonder is dated with regards to the rooms. Do you agree? Also, are you still able to drop off an item to be autographed ?

Im just full of questions today :chat:- is this the only thread for our specific cruise? Ive been searching but these threads can get confusing

They updated the rooms in the last year or two, and I thought the rooms were nice last November. No, you can't drop anything off anymore, they stopped that last year.

Yes, this is the only cruise date specific thread on the DIS although you may find other sites have a thread also.

If you have specific questions, you can post them on the main cruise forum page. Sometimes a general search here may give you the answer also. What questions are you trying to answer?

I am officially at 10:dogdance::dogdance::dogdance:
Well, not sure why it will not let me pm you. If you go up to your name and click on it, under either contact details or privacy is an option to receive messages from other members. Make sure that is checked. If all else fails, click on my name under the avatar and a black box comes up - one of the options is to start a conversation. Hopefully one of these works for us!
Edit to add - Forget it, I just had to wait longer for it to go through. I sent you a pm!
