Hi Everyone... would like to be included in this group as we are going on our 4th Disney Cruise. Never have done the FE, but would like to be included. I'm also new to going on the forums. Is there a link that I need to go to to be added to a FE participant list? Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

We haven't started a list yet for the FE, but generally the participants DIS names will be posted here and all private info (such as room #) will be sent via pm or email. You will have to have your posts up to 10 to use the pm feature though.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not sure about this posting stuff. Does it have to be 10 posts to this one forum or can it be to different ones? I watch the podcasts each week, and wish they'd do a show on learning this stuff. For now can you please e-mail me and let me know if something happens? I appreciate it.

Yes - can't wait to go. Went on Carnival over Christmas Day and hated it! So glad to be going back to Disney! Please include me in the group.

For now he's listed on the reservation, that way we're guaranteed a room that sleeps 4 people. We figure we can change it later down the road if it becomes necessary, but I'm crossing my fingers that it won't. He's a paramedic for the fire department here and is in nursing school so he's at the mercy of his schedule, and unfortunately won't know for sure if he'll have the time off of school or not to go.

I'm already Swagbucks'ing my little heart out to build up Target gift cards, and using ShopKick to get gift cards for Target. Then I'll use those gift cards plus my red card % off to get the Disney gift card to use on the trip! I also have a few rebate apps that I use when I grocery shop. I was able to use the $ I got back from the apps towards our Disney trip last month and it helped out a lot.

I've been reading a lot about the ship, and I'm currently watching a video on YouTube from the travel channel! I'm so excited about this cruise!

I told my son today that we were going, it was awesome! He's through the roof about it and can't wait. He said he is really excited to eat pizza every day lol.

It is 10 posts to anything on DISboards, so you can reply here or anywhere else and your count goes up. You also will not be able to add/change your pic until you hit 10 posts.

Me me me!!!!

Actually it's me, my son Jacob (10yo at time of sailing), my mom, my sister, my brother in law, niece (2yo), and nephew (10yo at time of sailing). As of right now we're waiting to see if my brother will be going or not, he'll find out closer to sailing time. My sister and brother in law and family have an ocean view room, and my mom, my son, and I have an interior room, if my brother is able to go he'll be in our room too.

My son LOVES cruising, we took him on a Carnival cruise 2 years ago and he loved every single second of it. We watched a tv show on Disney cruises about a year ago and ever since then he says a Disney cruise is his "dream vacation." So we're making it come true! I can't wait to be there with everyone!

I've only sailed Carnival, have gone on 4 cruises. My mom has done 2 Carnival cruises, and my brother has done 2 NCL cruises so we're all brand new to Disney cruising. Any advice is most helpful!

Also, we've never been to Galveston so I have no idea where to stay, what to do etc. We're driving in the day before and staying overnight in a hotel.

Hi there.... If your son loved Carnival he will be over the moon with the Wonder. There is just no comparison, especially for kids. You will have a hard time getting him out of the kids clubs. And the adult area are great. And that's just a couple of things that are great on Disney Cruises. We took a cruise over Christmas Day this year, and took the whole family. We couldn't afford the cost of the 2 cabins on Disney, so we sailed on Carnival. Biggest mistake we ever made. Carnival is just not the same quality as Disney. We will never go to another cruise line again.
Hope you have a great time and if you have any questions I'll try to help (this will be our 2nd time on the Wonder and we've sailed twice on the Magic).

All of the old Navigators I've seen say they dock at the Navy base & you have to be shuttled to Mallory Square. I wonder how long it takes to be shuttled there. Since it's a short day in Key West and there's quite a few things we like to see I will have to plan our day very carefully. Thanks for your replies!

I think that disneycruiselineblog.com posts all the Navigators. Otherwise, you would have to go to the main cruise line forum and post the question. The answer could change though as I see we do Key West before Nassau and they changed the route last fall to put Key West after instead. Not sure if that would change anything.

Yeah, I checked all the Navigators Scott has posted and they all say Navy Pier. But in my Facebook Group for this port some said they also went into Mallory Square (even in Nov 15), so I don't know. Guess I'll have to plan for both contingencies. Thanks for the response.

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.
