hi all, just an fyi: due to losing my job (i got 3 weeks notice, so kind of them) we will be changing our cabin assignment, but we will still (by the skin of our teeth) be able to afford to cruise with you all... thanks alicia & carlo.

Bummer. But look on the bright side, you'll have a new job, a new outlook on life, and a great reason to celebrate when you set sail on November 24. Gook luck on getting hooked up with a better place then where you are leaving from. I'm sure it will happen quickly for you.

For me, Animator's Palate has a special place in my heart. Even though I have never been on a Disney cruise, AP was the one feature on the original ships that made me want to take a Disney cruise. I guess you could say it "sealed the deal". Now, AP on the new ships is an entirely different experience but that doesn't make me any less excited. Maybe one day I will experience the "classic AP" on the Magic or Wonder but for now I guess I will "settle" for the Fantasy. LOL

regretfully, after doing our sums and discussing our options, we won't be continuing with our trip after all. my health just isn't up to it right now and even though this was going to be our big romantic get away cruise we just can't make it fit.

we had some great FE gifts made that i would have loved to share with you all (personalised bookmarks, photos & frames, artwork, postcards and magnets) and some amazingly cute gift bags in which to deliver them. hopefully we will see some of you on our cruise next year (yes, we are already planning a cruise next year, lol).

yes. i plan to say yes!! he is a great man!! but since we're no longer travelling on this cruise, and he wants it to be a disney proposal, it's been delayed until next year

Funny, I grew up in South Jersey, and went to Temple University in Philly...seems we are just in a strange circle, following each other. We are very excited...I didn't have any idea what a GTY was when I booked it, but now I can't wait to get our room assignment.

Book the Port Adventures, adult-exclusive dining, spa and fitness, nursery time,excursions, cabanas, spa treatments, etc. as soon as you are able to. In order to book these pre-cruise, you have to be paid in full. Once paid, the ability to reserve depends on your Castaway Club status (how many times you have cruised with DCL in the past):

• Never cruised on DCL, - Can reserve 75 days prior to cruising, starting 12:01 AM on 9/10/2012
• 1-5 previous cruises (Silver status), - Can reserve 90 days prior to cruising, 8/26/2012
• 6 – 10 previous cruises (Gold status), - Can reserve 105 days prior to cruising, starting 12:01 AM on 8/11/2012
• 11 plus previous cruises (Platinum status), - Can reserve 120 days prior to cruising, starting 12:01 AM on 7/26/2012

If you are interested in Remy Dinner, Palo Dinner, or Palo Brunch, I suggest you try to get those first! If you are able to book it, save your reservation. You are able to book (sort of fill your cart) multiple reservations, but if you wait until the end, you could lose your dining reservation!

Sounds to me like the "question of the week"!!

We're flying out Friday so we can do T-day at home but the DW will be missing her Black Friday which I think she has plans on making up for there on the cruise and the Saturday we get back in DTD.

Castaway Cay - I hope relaxing, but we will see what the DD has to say about that. I would think snorkeling at least.

Restaurants - Definitely looking forward to the new show at Animators. And the food that I do not need to cook or clean up afterwards.

Shoes - I only wear Teva's everywhere. However, at the restaurants I will regular shoes.

Thanksgiving - This will be the first time in a while that we will not be with my family for T Day. We have Hollywood & Vine booked for that day. DW wants Turkey.
