Any recommendations please for which time is less busy? I am looking around first or second week in November 2018 and the first or second week in March 2019. I may stay off site as I have done before and it worked well. I’d be in Disney for around 4/5 days. Thank you so much. :)

I would look at the first of March or the week sandwiched between Jersey Week and Thanksgiving week in November. They will probably be similar. I've done the November dates for 3 of the last 4 years, and that weekdays were decent. The weekends were busy, so a M-F plan would probably be best. It's been several years since I did the first week of March, but it used to be nice. I think Mardi Gras is during that week, though.

If you’re doing November and want to eat TS on property you may want to decide soon, so you can make your ADRs. Especially for hard to get places.

The nice thing is that free dining isn't offered until Nov 24th this year. That always added to ADR stress.

Just some dates to keep in mind if not already on your radar screen:

Wine & Dine Half Marathon/Races - 11/1-11/4/2018

Veteran’s Day - 11/12/2018

Mardi Gras - 3/5/2019. (No personal experience, but that week tends to get mentioned as a higher crowd week, generally speaking.)

Crowds aside, if this were me I’d probably be thinking about whether we’d want to be there while MVMCP is going on (November) vs not (March). There are a lot of MVMCP events those first two weeks of November which may impact (both positively and negatively) your touring strategy.

Looks like 2nd week of November or 1st week of March would both be similar, moderate crowds.
Do you want Christmas decorations/parties?
We went 2nd week of November last year and LOVED IT. Weather was amazing. Lots of after-dark park hours (much more than our previous September trips). Beautiful Christmas decorations. I recommmend it.

I went both of these times during the past year. November was appreciably less busy. March wasn't terrible either, but it did get a bit packed in the afternoon, but then was deserted after dinner time

Mardi Gras is March 5 next year so expect that week to be busy

We always like going in November for the Xmas decorations and MVMCP

We are going the first week of March too. But have been thinking about changing to the second week, but I thought the second week would be busier just because it's closer to spring break crowds. If Mardi Gras makes the first week busier I think we may switch to the second week.
